Thanks! Yes the water pump pulley is an overdrive pulley from Unorthodox Racing. Smaller in diameter than the OEM. I know about the oil sweat from silicone lines, but the way I figure it... my original lines were leaking and deteriorating anyway, so I went ahead and replaced them. When they sweat, I'll get rubber lines. They aren't all that hard to replace.BigTDogg (MA) wrote:Looking really, really good man. Is that water pump pulley an overdrive pulley? As in, is it smaller than the OEM pulley. If not, you need an overdrive pulley like the HI pulley from ImportPartsPro.com to keep the pump moving with that underdrive pulley.
Also, I'd pass on the Z1 oil cooler silicone lines and just reuse OEM or use some Goodyear multiply hose of the same diameter. Silicone and oil don't mix, I don't care what Z1 says, it'll eventually sweat.

Just waiting on my custom balance tube to be finished and the motor will be completely done! The carbon fiber pieces actually replace the factory pieces, so they do save a bit of weight. Functional and stylish yet sort of subtle.
The addition of stainless steel braided fuel lines:
Powder coated coil pack brackets, water pipes and timing cover bolts:
SPL outer tie rod ends and some Energy Suspension front lower control arm bushings:

Haha yes there is a massive 2 car garage for all the goodies and work! You'll have to come check it out sometime!ztommyx wrote:^^ it's about time.
hopefully there's a big garage for all that goodies
Haha thanks man! And I got the CF panels custom made from a guy in Canada by the company name of REV Imports. You can find their temp page up on cardomain.com. A bit pricey, but I thought it was a cool and unique idea.300ZXttZMAN wrote:AND WHERE DID YOU FIND THE CARBON FIBER INTERIOR PANELS
Lol... Ya moving into a new house and accomplishing all the things I have wanted to do to it have put a slight delay on the Z. Should be up and running by the spring though... that's the plan at least haha.Oh Em Zee wrote:Dear god, i've been subscribed to this post for a while now.
Thanks 300ZXttZMAN for quoting his pictures, i was soo hoping for updates but Noo!
lol.
I thought about using large staples too, but it probably would have cracked the clear coat on the CF. So, I very carefully drilled holes and bolted them in place with tiny bolts. Worked wonders:LIBRILZ wrote:How the you attach the carbon fiber panels to the stock panels? I know the stock ones are attached by staples but I don't have a stapeler strong enough
