Looking really, really good man. Is that water pump pulley an overdrive pulley? As in, is it smaller than the OEM pulley. If not, you need an overdrive pulley like the HI pulley from ImportPartsPro.com to keep the pump moving with that underdrive pulley.

Also, I'd pass on the Z1 oil cooler silicone lines and just reuse OEM or use some Goodyear multiply hose of the same diameter. Silicone and oil don't mix, I don't care what Z1 says, it'll eventually sweat.

Thanks! Yes the water pump pulley is an overdrive pulley from Unorthodox Racing. Smaller in diameter than the OEM. I know about the oil sweat from silicone lines, but the way I figure it... my original lines were leaking and deteriorating anyway, so I went ahead and replaced them. When they sweat, I'll get rubber lines. They aren't all that hard to replace.

Just waiting on my custom balance tube to be finished and the motor will be completely done! The carbon fiber pieces actually replace the factory pieces, so they do save a bit of weight. Functional and stylish yet sort of subtle.

How the you attach the carbon fiber panels to the stock panels? I know the stock ones are attached by staples but I don't have a stapeler strong enough

Haha yes there is a massive 2 car garage for all the goodies and work! You'll have to come check it out sometime!
300ZXttZMAN wrote:AND WHERE DID YOU FIND THE CARBON FIBER INTERIOR PANELS
Haha thanks man! And I got the CF panels custom made from a guy in Canada by the company name of REV Imports. You can find their temp page up on cardomain.com. A bit pricey, but I thought it was a cool and unique idea.

Lol... Ya moving into a new house and accomplishing all the things I have wanted to do to it have put a slight delay on the Z. Should be up and running by the spring though... that's the plan at least haha.

I thought about using large staples too, but it probably would have cracked the clear coat on the CF. So, I very carefully drilled holes and bolted them in place with tiny bolts. Worked wonders:

*SHORT UPDATE*

Here are a few things I have been working on for the last little while. I did a complete HICAS removal (all lines and rear rack deleted... power steering pump converted to NA.) I also replaced the rear inner tie rods and ball joints (major pain in the A$$ by the way.) And I got me some Powertrix rear adjustable traction rods

Here is how the car sits now... still cleaning and repainting the engine bay:

Thank you! I wanted a little contrast thrown in there. I didn't want too much chrome or too much green. The intake hard pipes are going to be chrome too, so try to picture it when installed and it will contrast a bit more. Also, it just so happened to match my Tein suspension parts too haha... and maybe some Takata harnesses in the future lol. Oh and the pictures don't do the green justice... you'd have to see it when the sun light hits it!

I personally think it's one of the best color schemes I've ever seen. Just my personal opinion, though.
