I gotta go with Mike on this one, its definatley preferred to all the chaos around my home city. We get ALOT of FOB folks (alot of local soccer moms included) who think they can drive here like they do in their home country (i.e. on sidewalks and in the middle of two lanes while chatting on the phone and changing a CD) and clog up our courts with meaningless trials that keep the rest of us sitting in our court pew all day long... This is no exaggeration either. The DMV needs to get on the ball very soon.

besides whatever you all said, they blind oncoming traffic as well as traffic in front of them.

they're hazardous to the entire traffic. i get blinded by SUVs in my 240. think how bad it would be on a lifted, big *** truck with headlights, foglights, and whatever you call those things they stick on top of the roof.

people who also drive these big monsters tend to drive like shat. and i see plenty of them in GA

You can't park it, you can't change lanes without wiping out three cars you can't drive it, period. You can't keep from spinning that new sports car out of control in a wet corner you can't drive that either. Everybody starts with an econobox license and they must qualify for anything bigger or faster. It solves the wannabe pizza-faced teenage in 240 problem as well as the yuppie ***** in the monolithic escalade problem but also doesn't stop anyone from stepping up if they can handle it. the burden is solely on the individual driver.Sports car drivers and bike riders hating on SUVs and hybrid tree-huggin neo-hippies hating on any car that doesn't run on cooking oil, solar power and love all need to shut the **** up and quit trying to impose their view of the world on others. If you can drive it and you want to pay for the gas go ahead on

TMS, you sure got my vote.

Secondly, i really agree that not every soccermom needs an SUV. My family had one because we acutally had a use for an SUV. It was a road trip vehicle, work truck, and had the juice to pull our boat, we used it for everything.

Half the time, the only person in the SUV is the person driving the damn thing. I do think there should be some kind of stipulation as to what car you need and what is superfluous, a single person driving an SUV as a daily driver is simply a waste of gas and space.

I dont know how many times i have almost forced off the road by idiots in SUVs who dont check their blind spots or just dont care to look in their mirros before changing lanes.

Dont get the wrong idea though, i like SUVs, but sometimes the whole reason for traffic hold-ups where i live is because retards in their SUVs cant figure out which pedal is the gas pedal or the fact that a whole assload of people passing them on the right is a hint that they should get the hell out of the passing lanes.

I'm with you on all points except the one about teachers getting salary based on students' success. Take if from me, some people are just stupid and there's no amount of teaching that can change that. They're just 'tards.

The Ford SVT Lighting is pretty fast, too.

Meh... The main reason I don't like SUVs and the like is they drive gas prices up Sooo much higher than they should be. If everyone drove cars that got an average of 30 even 35 mpg, gas would drop a buck.

TMS, can I lobby for a law prohibiting Semi's from passing on highways when there are other cars around? Personally, I think that's one of the most dangerous situations around...passing semis.
