ok that makes a lot of sense, you probably have a boost leak..which is a good thing since it's an easy fix.

Go buy a compression tester. Compression test is always step 1 when you think its something internal of the engine. If thats not it, do the boost leak test. Then check the MAF and Intake Pipe. If all is fine then check for an injector leak by lifting the fuel rail up with the fuel lines connected and prime the pump. When fuel pressure builds, the leaky injector will spray fuel.

So I took my valve cover off the other day and everything looked cool. Today I compression checked it and returned with 130's across the board. Then I found that a couple of intercooler couplers were cracking from age and one had popped off the back of one of the pipes. I think my higher boost level (first time running over 15 psi on my new setup) blew all the weak points in my IC system.

Also, today at work, I put new tires on an E 55 AMG then got to take it for a test drive. That thing is one ballsy saloon.
