i am thinkin about buildin it up a bit for a coupe shell im lookin at just cause it would be different and i like making power where people say im wasting my time. but that would just be until i get the internals done on the KA-T i want build for it. I prolly wouldnt do a dual cam swap if it wasn't half my buddies car and we werent pickin the det motor for 200 for the short block and 200 to pay off the rest of the machining done on the head. haha we'll see what happens i guess

just stick a fork in the 18ET that thing looks horrible. there are a few clean ones still wandering the CA forums.

doing a DOHC CA or even a KA-DE swap would be highly recommended.

block+head for 400 bucks with machine work already goone sounds like a good deal. I dont think there is a single TM T28 exhaust mani for the CA18DET that I can think of. there is a TM T3 and T4 mani..... I suppose you could do a custom one.

PS is that fan up front pushing or pulling? is there not one on the other side pushing are though the radiator? that would account for your blown HG. I would also check to make sure all the fuel is good in the lines.......... that maybe the entire issue.

lol, looks just like the front of my single slammer ka...I drove mine that way for over 2 years so I can vouch for the reliability. I finally decided to pull my ka after it acquired a coolant leak from under the intake manifold lol...

Good luck gettin her back in shape, definately unique as it is!

something that "drags" is a "dragger". two g's.

you dont have to please me. i couldnt care less, seriously.

the way you talked made you sound like $900 worth of upgrades got you to where the car is. not that you paid $900 total. makes a ****-ton more sense now.

either way, youve got some work ahead of you.

Not really worth it, getting 200HP out of that motor is a chore. Not so with a DOHC version.
