so here we r 900 dollars later with an s13 240 with suspension done on all 4 corners, altima big brake kit up front, widebody rear fenders, a ca18et with a blown head gasket an a bad fuel pump. Slapped a set of rims on we got from a buddy for 100 bucks and it looks good. Fixed the head gasket and found out it didnt get gas and the fuel pump had power but didnt kick in so we ordered a walbro 255 lph in tank pump and once that is in we can have some fun.

Here are some pics of it

let me know what u think

I used to have a CAMP in my s14.

Kind of neat, but I ended up selling it.

SOHC CAs came in R31 Skylines (in 1.8, 1.8t and 2.0 configurations) and in S12s, again is 1.8l and 2.0l, turbo and non.

What an odd swap into an S13...

yup yup they had US spec single cam CA turbos in some of the s12s

definately didnt expect to see that in a 240 so plus 1 for being original, even if your tearin it out for something more practical

...all S12s had a version of the CA save for the 1987-88 SEs that had VG30Es.

You do realize that you lose power and torque by performing that swap, right? 135hp and 141ft*lbs is lame sauce.

clearly the OP is not worried about power, reliability, or anything really, other than pinching pennies.

no intercooler, "full suspension", HKS super "drager" *not DRAGGER* exhaust, and oil ALL over everything clearly shows that this car will live forever.

the ca18et is different for sure... but would be badass ONLY if FULLY BUILT, not just plopped in with XXX,XXX miles on it...

He bought the car with all those things installed.

Hopefully he gets to making it better.

wow get all excited about nothing i bought the car how it is I didnt spend the money to make it this way. I have had this car for a week I sorry money didnt fall outta the sky so I could immediately buy an intersooler put a bigger turbo on do a motor swap and everything else that needs to be done to meet up with your standards. Reliability???? It runs fine and starts easy whenever it has gas and Im pretty sure anyone that had a 200sx isnt going to complain about that. I didnt realize accidently typing 2 g's in drager made it mean i had no clue what I am talking about i already had a pic of the pipe and the sticker so i apparentlyt have seen how it is spelt. Mrgreeneyes I'll start working fast so I can make you happier

CA18ET into a 240sx?Its different, but its a pretty shiitty swap. Non-intercooled, worse performance overall than what the car came with. Well i suppose originallity is all that matters ehh.

P.S why is it labeled as a 180sx build. It doesnt have the 180sx engine, nor is it RHD

Maybe you could sell the car for a profit to someone who doesnt know any better. Just tell them its a JDM 180sx. And that it even has the 1.8 litre engine that denotes the name 180SX. Cuz at that engines age i would daily drive or track it without a full rebuild. And even then the work wouldnt be worth it.....unless of course i was planning on achieving originality and nothing more.

P.P.S You need to clean that engine bay, even my(notoriously dirty engine bay) isnt that dirty.

wow are you on any special meds or are you just a jack ***? maybe before you blast on the guy you should read the whole thread.. he didnt do the swap he bought it that way and he also mentioned that he already cleaned the oil of the motor. plus he's planning a rhd swap.. given he did call it a 180sx when its a 240sx but guess everyone isnt perfect like you.. but im sure he nor anyone else cares to hear your trash talk.. why dont you go to honda tech or southside imports with that trash.. people like you are the reason so many people are going to other forums. if you dont like the post then dont waste everyones time with your trash..

Are you going to swap in a different motor? Like maybe a CA18DET or an SR20DET? By the time you do a bunch of stuff to that SOHC CA you will only be slightly above stock SR20DET power... I'm not a huge fan of the SR I mean I like them but personally I would stick with a KA-T... Also if you do want it to be a 180sx you need an SR, 180sx Glass, 180sx Seats, RHD, etc, etc. P.S if need be I can order 180sx glass for a fair price with shipping for a fellow NICO Member.... Good luck on the build

the side windows have the 180sx markings on them. did canada get 180s or only 200s? perhaps he got it from there? their cars are lhd, too, i thought...

and a top mount t28? i hope you're shooting for a 2871r then...

ya the plan is to put in the ca18det motor. also to do rhd and we arent goin with stock seats so thats not needed. The glass has 180sx stickers over 240sx( the guy before us did it) but depending on price authentic 180 glass might be worth it. and im in the process ogetting a 240sx coupe shell that i want to make KA-T so thatll be sweet. Thanks on ur imput on it tho.

if you read before it is how i got it i didnt do the swap and am not planning on keeping the single cam motor it is just what is in there so we can drive it while we build out ca18det motor which is in our friends garage.

So what are you gonna do with the ET?? Please tell me you are gonna put it in a 120Y or Nissan Bakkie. Id love to see one of those cars with this engine.
