Hmmm, if the pictures on the site are of the actual engine, hmmm.

I can't really tell from the picture because the quality sucks, but it looks like the harness is cut, but it could just be tucked into the intake runners, it's hard to tell. It also looks like the CAS is missing the cover, again the pic sucks, so it's hard to tell. I would ask for some pics of the actual engine that you are buying.

either way you can pick up a harness for what $500? if everything else is there, $1100 wouldnt be that bad of a deal. they do price matching too incase you find a better deal.

My advice is to just save your money untill you can afford a engine thats complete. You can't get cheap when doing this swap or else you will have a lot of headaches.

Umm yeah you need the wiring harness. But you also need the radiator, intercooler, ecu, igniter chip and intercooler piping among other things. But who needs those when you got yourself a real great deal.

I orderd an S14 sr20det from them. I haven't seen it yet because its at my buddies shop. Yes it came "complete". It included the transmission, harness, ecu, altenator, starter, a/c, pwr steering, ignitor chip, and some intercooler piping, and some misc stuff. I haven't seen it but that is what my buddy has described to me. I'll be checking it out this week end. He also described to me that there are like 15-20 small spliced wires. I'll be posting pictures sometime soon.

The shipping was pretty cheap especially coming from Canada to NC and it was fast. They called me and told me when they were shipping it out and it would be like 3-4 business days. I thought it was BS and more like 5-10 days. Needless to say I was wrong! My engine got to the shop in 3 days.

Yes, please keep us posted. I know it's a big risk buying an engine for that cheap, but if it's good, that could change things around here. Also, how much was shipping? They don't have any shipping costs on their site and nothing comes up in the order form. Since they are out of the country what about customs?

Mark is the guy you want to talk to. Hes kinda slow getting things done but hes busy. Im getting a black top from him. 1,050, everything is complete but the harness and ecu. Dont need that shiat as im going stand alone, awsome deals!! You wont get a complete harness from him, Dont expect it. Pretty cheap compared to every one else. He sent me pics of the engine hes gona send me. Looks awsome. Yes as good as the ones on his site. He'll do a COD also, awsome when your buying a used engine. Leak down or compression test if you ask for one, hes doing a leak down monday for me.

Cant wait..

I will be performing the swap in a few weeks. Shipping cost me $260 and that was to NC. Cheap if you ask me. My SR20DET fortunately came with a harness and the ECU. I talked to John in Internet sales. I'm not sure about their redtop or blacktop S13's but John had told me he had 2 S14's complete with everything (harness, ecu, etc). Now one of them is mine :) I think I ordered the engine right after Christmas. I don't know if Mark is still there because a little bit ago they were having problems and I think they split the company. Anyway the man is John :)

Yea it did split. They let Joe go. One of the founders is what I heard. Maybee I should talk to John. They do seem pretty good so far.

Dan a harness can be had for $300-$450 at HeayThrottle and an ignitor chip can be purchased at your local Infiniti Dealer. The SR20DET ignitor chip is the same as the Q45 (maybe not the same but they are compatible).

So lets you add the cost of the harness and the ignitor chip and the $1250 from osaka, you're looking at a few dollars shy of $2000 and you have a complete SR20DET shipped.

yea i just got quoted about a grand for a redtop, no ignitor chip, cut wiring harness, compression check and start-up warranty. he mentioned that a lot of people convert them to distributors to avoid the ignitor chips. anyone have any links/resources so i can read up on this?

Keep us posted I guess, I don't know of anyone who has worked with them in the past. I don't know if that means anything though. Good luck with your swaps and post pics of your engines when you get them. That should be a good indicator to the rest of us as to weather or not Osaka motors gives out a good product.

Oh yeah, and how many miles are on the engines you are all getting from them???

He's talking about the WIRING SERVICES from HT. They only charge $100 to convert a SR/KA harness to work in a S13 chassis.

People who switch to a distributor do so because they have a reprogrammed ECU by JWT and/or are using the KA ECU/Harness(something like that).

Not a lot of people do this, just the people who deal with JWT.

ItzGenX was just confused as to where that random (oddly worded) fact came into the mix. Read it again...

like saying $100 is $100 if you have $100, He should have said something more like "an SR harness is only $100 if you supply a core KA harness."

Is it just me, or does the engine in the pics appear to be sitting on its OIL PAN?!?!?

Don't they know that is a huge no-no?

im still weighing out the options. they were kind of shady when i called. they barely spoke english and their price dropped $100 in the course of five minutes and they dont come with the ignitor chip or the wiring harness. im a cheap ***** so i might buy a motor from them, build it and keep an eye out for an ignitor chip for cheap and have my s13 harness rewired but i dont know. can someone post specific information (contact info) on where to get your s13 harness rewired for the sr20det and how to remove your stock harness? thanks.

Im thinking about buying a motor just to tear it apart. i want to see how a SR works and i realy dont think it whould be to hard to get a redtop in to a 240 hatch with out igniter and wire harness in the deal.

100 bucks ya say for wire harness with KA swap....

what 200 bucks from infin for chip??? even if thay send junk motors.... im gonna blow it apart anyway weather it was junked when it got here or not..
