Yea, it is not science, but more along the lines of a statistical aggregation. I would like to see what is at the higher ends of the chart; my SAT score does not even lie within the range of the chart. And I find it hard to believe anyone scoring within the Beethoven range to be able to get into Harvard less their parents donate a wing or something.

In any case, this chart doesn't so much as say a particular type of music is dumb as much as merely showing us what types of people listen to a particular set of music, ie. Lil Wayne = delinquients.

Any further assumptions are completely up to the reader, but then again if a person walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, listen's to duck music, he's most likely a...hippo. Wait, that's not right.

Friend of mine teaches at a university in Seattle and is working on getting his phd. He listens exclusively to oldies from the 1950s and 1960s and absolutely nothing else.

As for religious people, note the higher ranking of Jars of Clay compared to, say, most of the rest.

Whether or not the chart is scientific or not, this thread holds some truth. The type of "music" that "Little Wayne" produces is largely a collection of cheap gimmicks and generic subject matter. Naturally it will appeal to those who are less educated, and easily amused (or those who are gullible enough to buy into his show-biz image). But then again, some people will like what they like, regardless of their level of intellect. Yet, you CAN see trends. It's called correlation without direct cause.

I listen to R&B, Rap 50% of the time and Rock 50%. The rap and R&B is great background noise but its all about money and sex. It gets old pretty quick.
