Sweet, he's fabbing his own jerry rigged bulbs and everything. Epic build thread.lamonsterscorner wrote:yesterday my license plate fixtures decided to fall. well technically one. I had to take out the right one because its bolting brackets had completely rusted and were somewhere not on the fixture. (Probably got stuck in a poor Honda's tire years ago) So i stuck that in my 240sx bag of goodies. Its a duffel bag full of parts, screws, and other stuff that either should be on the car or what to put on the car. So the other day i was filling up gas and sure enough the left one was hanging. Because Alpharetta police know my 240 pretty well (due to past encounters involving tag and insurance), it would be risky to just leave it hanging. (Alot of people complain about my loud 240 but so far I haven't been caught in the act of it. Referring to racing btw. I've calmed it down since. Sorry for the digression) anyways after like 15 minutes of trying to get it to stay in place i finally just removed the housing and stuck a single bulb in between the bumper and the license plate. Wedged in there good. I've got to find replacements soon. Gonna call the shop on payday and see if i can snag some from their 240 yard

You're going to run your crap dry, and overheat it and kill another motor. You probly just melted the first one into a chunk, running out of coolant slowly.
If you're going to drive a ratty car, at least be honest about it. How are you even thinking about silva parts when your motor's going to melt?
I took my tank out, JB welded that hole (yes, that same exact one, only worse) with milk jug patches, and it's better than new.
Go to the hardware store, get a JB weld kit or 3, and start fixing things, instead of paying other people for parts you don't need to make things shiny, while you overheat.
Making a light bulb bracket or whatever else shouldn't be hard. It just won't be a uber JDM performance light holder, or a uber JDM preformance coolant tank.
