quick question about oil temp. I recently hooked up my oil temperature and oil pressure gauges, just want to know if this is right, or way off

While hwy cruising at ~110 kph so closing in on 3000rpmtemp:85-90C (185-195F)press:80psi

when I start boosting, I can easily get the temps over 95C (203F) and it has hit 100C before (212F) on hot days

Right now Im running a stock ka rad, w/ 16" or 18" (I cant remember) permacool fan, its the biggest round fan that will fit on a ka rad. The fan is wired on all the time. All the while my water temp cluster gauge reads "normal" and doesnt move. I havent hooked up the water temp gauge yet (bought the wrong size adapter) so I dont know really what the water temp is doing.

Im running 15W40 for diesel engines, I was told it works great in turbo engines, and I thought if it can stand up to the abuse of a diesel it can take mine.

I searched, but Ill look again, thanks for the right direction

No wonder your Oil Press. was higher than mine.

I have about 45ish PSI with 10W30. Oil temps seem normal to me. As long as the pressure stays up and the temps dont exceed your oils specs. You should be fine.

If you like the diesel blend get a synthetic diesel blend. Its 5w40 and your SR will like it better. BTW Mobil Delvac 5w40 > Rotella 5w40
