oil temp for sr20

hey, i tried searching for what an sr20det's oil temp normally runs and found alot about people running oil temp gauges. well, i just installed mine and it is reading around 230-250 seem high to anyone else? talked to a buddy of mine and he said his n/a mustang ran in the 230s and would guess a little higher for a turbo car.... still seems high to me though.

Mine usually runs in the 150-190 farenheit range. Although I have a Greddy oil pan which has cooling fins on the underside. How hot does your water temp run?

yeah, i forgot to mention that i have that oil pan too. im not sure what my water temp is though. but my oil temp sensor is in the greddy pan. i had a knock off greddy before i got the real one. and it was bigger in size and held less oil btw.

Yeah i installed a auto lit gauge and mine is pegged at 250 , seems a little hight to me but everything runs fine.

with stock oil pan mine ran about 210 but I installed an oil cooler with thermostatic adapter plate, I havnt seen it above 180 since

Yea, mine with a greddy pan and autometer sensor, it was around 160-190 but haven't had a full hard day of driving with it yet...

just curious. what weight oil are yall running? i have 5w-30 until the next oil change and then i plan on going to 10w-30 for the summer. which will be soon...

ive never run any thinner than 10W40 synthetic

i normally run 10w-30 syn. but my uncles shop replaced the bootleg oil pan w/ the greddy one. and he told me thats what he put in. sooo ill run it for a little while and change it again.
