if they can return oil on thier remote mounted turbo then we can too...they use an electric pump to return the oil from the rear of the car thru the oil filler cap...now if we knew what pump they are using...

I believe he blew his seals in the turbo. you'd have to have a restictor in there somewhereand monitor the oil pressure in the feed line so you don't get too much.

yes i've seen his post but like the guy above stated...he blew his seals on the turbo b/c the pump was sucking it dry...

so if they(sts turbo) can us a pump for the oil without sucking it dry then we could use thier pump. get what i'm saying?

im not sure what company made the kit but i remember reading an article in either SCC or super street about a turbo kit they were putting on their SVT focus that used a pump to return the oil. you could look up what kit and pump they were using

for your info the oil bung will be under the oil level(almost 4qts)...which will lead to turbo seal failures b/c the oil cannot drain b/c its not above the oil level in the pan. if yall wants pics to see where the oil dipsticks sits in the pan let me know i have a spare ka block with the dipstick still in it and the oil pan off

thats the only reason i'm not tapping the pan. i have an extra oil pan that i might get someone to weld me something like the greddy's SR pan like in the other post. but the pump seems to be much easier

Yes, that could be true but if you rate of oil coming in and oil going out is relative same and the fact the oil pump is always sucking and keeping the oil levels lower you should not have a problem, many, many KA-T people have put the right size restrictors and not had any issues with seals blowing ,except when too much oil was being pulled in ( not small enough restrictor from hi pressure outlet)It is not worth all the trouble , just put bung as high a possible and get the right size inlet restrictor.

Someone had the pic of their oil pan off and filled with water. Was that you? Also you got to in to account.when engine is running oil level will be lower because well it's not sitting in the bottom anymore.Thought the oil pan showed that if put in the right spot, the oil could return will a full 4qts alrwady in but barely. But engine running and you got the oil in the lines filter and in the engine.
