oil feed line

I was wondering if anyone knows what the correct metric size is of the oil pressure sensor?I went to every store around here that I thought may have the fitting but the closest i found was the 1/8.It seems like everyone uses the 1/8 fitting. When I tried to put the 1/8 fitting into the block it didnt feel like it should go in there I dont want to cross thread it if i do not have to.

it is 1/8" but uses a british standard taper pipe (BSTP) not our regular national pipe taper (NPT). iirc, autozone sell the adapters with their oil press. gauge install kits.

oh I see thanks for clearing that up. About how much does the oil pressure gauge install kit cost? Am I better off jus ordering the parts from mcmaster

I read that, the oil feed kit i purchased came with the npt fittings and not bspt. So that was where i was confused. Thanks though
