or Jiffy Lube forgot to tighten it down

go to the autoparts store and get one for a FWD SR, it should fit.

drain plugs are pretty generic, we have a box at work with like 10 differant sizes, and that is it.

PS, give your buddy a good slap to the back of the head, he forgot to tighten your drain plug, if I were you I would go make sure the filter is tight, just to be safe.

Your motor is toast... You had no oil drail plug meaning you had 0 engine oil and you ran the motor... damn that sucks.

That tapping noise you heard could mean some major damage done to your engine.

I had an incident with jiffy lube and they stripped out my drain plug on my greddy oil pan!!! So I drove my dads car down there and he (jiffy lube guy) ended up getting me one of those drain plugs that doesn't screw in. http://www.cgenterprises.com/d...r.htm

Scroll down to the bottom and it is the drain plug labled 1030

I personally like this way better than the stock drain plug. It never fully comes out of your oil pan so need to worry about losing it, and it gets tightened by hand and then a 1/4 turn more with pliers and thats it.

it sounds like a clunk you get from a 2way. just one clunk though, or when two large, heavy pecies of metal hit each other under water, sounds sort of muffled, but the clunk gets quieter and quieter everytime i turn it on

You might be OK, but you definitely need to learn the basics of engine mechanics to keep up with a swapped turbo engine. You may need to change your oil again soon to make sure anything is flushed out. Likewise, go get a magnetic oil drain bolt.
