This is the cooler I bought.

Matafied- How would that work without elimintating the filter?

Are you saying run the feed line from the re-locator to the cooler and then to the filter adapter then back to the block?

yep, have them both in the loop. you might have to have some custom lines to place the cooler were you want it.

like the ones here ( about 3/4 way down the page )

http://www.justjap.com/parts_ncooling.htm

these kits are made to use the cooler and the filter relocated

I ended up using RTV since my kit didn't come with a new paper gasket.

I consider that but I wasnt sure if it could handle the pressure of the oil system.

You haven't had any issues with leaks?

I haven't had any leaks from it at all. I laid a 5mm bead on the face and let the RTV set up for like 10-15 minutes before putting the housing on. That gave it some time to cure first.

As far as oil sandwich plates go, they come with an o-ring gasket that goes between the plate and the stock oil filter sealing surface. Set the sandwich plate against the housing, thread the adapter fitting on and you're done. Simple install.

Thanks guys, Carl H-I think that Greddy unit is exactly what im looking for. It also has the Thermo unit built in so that should take car of my oil cooling!!

Also any of you guys ever modified your 240 to make the R33 Radiator fit?

This is the radiator I ended up ordering since I couldn't find any to my liking. The radiator is about 5 inches taller than the original 240's.

That one won't work for an oil cooler setup. Only for oil gauges. The 1/8"NPT fittings would be too small to do anything as far as cooling. Larger lines need to be used (i.e. dash 10).

the radiator fit just fine, just the top bracket that hold down the radiator need to be custom-to-fit.

Are you sure? I set mine in tonight and my hood likes 2 inches before it will shut.

I have to cut the hood for it to fit! Possibly other mods also!

I would like to know the oil Temps also!

you may need to adjust or bump the lower hook a little to let it set lower.

well I have a 1 inch block under both hooks and I still need 2 inches up top. This radiator is MASSIVE!!!

Im afraid of moving those two front bars down to much! Not sure how much that will affect the handling if at all.

Worse case Ill cut a big hole out of my hood for it to stick threw LOL!! Then Ill get my fiberglass man to fix me something weird up to cover it!

well the skyline raidiator fits but its pretty tall heres a pic of a rb25 s14 zenki with one that was parked next to my car at nopi 07 st. louis.

also that greddy oil filter relocation kit on ebay doesnt have a thermost on it so i think you have to run a thermostat sandwich plate cooler kit and just run the relocation kit on top of that.

Well I worked on it all weekend and got it to fit. I had to Cut the Braces out of my hood but it cleared with a little room to spare.

I bought the Greddy sandwich plate with the thermostat built in, So I shouldnt have a problem I hope!

Also built a custom shroud this weekend for my electirc fans. If this thing runs any hotter than 180 Im running it into the first lake I see.

Ah, so you didnt relocate it? thats cool. I thought you were relocating it.. well but still, to anyone planning on relocating there oil cooler, dont buy the greddy, do it yourself and save money.

oh and i found something cheaper, but theres no telling if they worked for RB's. if you tried one on a KA then it should prolly fit an RB. and this ones fifty bucks cheaper, but it only has 2 ports, and no thermostat..

Ya Im sure you can save ALot by building it yourself. I just didnt see any reason to re-locate it since I have to jack the car up to change oil anyways. Plus its not in a bad position at least for me.

but thanks for the info, Also can you post the part numbers others will need to build the summit version? Im sure they would appreciate it.

I bought a 3/4"-16 thread oil filter plate and it does not fit on my RB25. The adapter is too big for the threads and too big for the oil filter too. Where did this 3/4"-16 information come from because it is bogus. I'm thinking the fitting is more along the lines of M18 or M20.

Does anyone have the correct info on this?

did you buy the plate from 240sxmotoring?

oh n/m I take it you bought that for oil filter relocation? so the threads you thought were 3/4"-16 for the oil filter are really metric?
