I bought it off ebay (Shift_Glow) so I could run oil pressure and temperature sensors from it. I can almost slide the adapter fitting on and off the stock bolt/threads.

the rb20/25/26 SHOULD be the uber common 3/4"x16 thread pitch...perhaps they sent you the wrong adaptor.

That could be, but what is bigger than the 3/4"-16? I thought that was the biggest common fitting.

I actually bought one for a Z/G35 because it said 3/4"-16 in the description and I didn't think it would make any difference.

oh so you stack the plate on top of your oil cooler adapter then place the filter on top of the plate you bought? get a thread gauge and measure your oil fiters.

My final plan is to stack an oil cooler adapter plate on top of the sensor adapter plate and put the filter on over that.

Ok I figured it out. The Z/G35 has a 20x1.5mm oil filter which is larger than the 3/4"-16 thread of the RB25. I think I'm going to have to get the ebay seller to exchange my adapter plate or send me a new fitting.

Sorry for the misinformation above...

why dont you just scrap the adapter plate and run a T fitting off the provided 1/8" NPT on the sandwhich plate? That way you can get both oil pres and temp?

darius - best bet is to just get the greddy plate as it has provisions for temp and pressure as well as takeoffs for an oil cooler.will be less money spent in the end.

Carl, which side did you end up hooking the inlet on your oil cooler? The base of it?

I know alot of people who run autox subarus use an oil-relocation kit AS an oil cooler. Convection is all about airflow, not size lol.

I got a grex oil cooler.. and i was wondering if there would be oil pressure issues running a 12 row oil cooler with -10 lines.

Iam currently looking for an inline restrictor to install.

I don't think you will have any oil pressure issues. I think I lost 5lbs of pressure on my 17 row cooler with number 10 lines.

Hot or Cold?

Cold start I push 100lbs

Hot I hold about 50 Idle and 60-65 cruisen.

I was around 55-60 at idle.

your seals can't be too happy with that, haha

what oil pump are you using?what oil clearances are you running?what oil weight are you using?

When I re-built it I went back with the Pump that was on the motor. Not sure if its Oem or Aftermarket. It held 70+ b/f I blew a piston so I seen no reason to change it.

Clearances ill have to find my machining spec sheet. Its been a while since I went through the numbers. I used ACL race bearings.

I use 10w40 Castrol Synthetic. I wouldnt use anything different, Have never had a problem with Castrol.

idle psi still seems very high. factory specs are less than half of your numbers at idle, so i don't know what to say. i've run 10w40 before too and the oil pressure does go higher but not that high.

idle pressure is mad high...mine doesnt get much over 1.7bar when warm and that is about 26ish psi...see 6bar wot.this is with an n1 pump.

LOL again my Mystery Motor!! HAHA,

When I did my re-build I do remember my bearings were on the high end of the oil clearance limit b/c I called ACL to confirm my numbers. They said I would prob loose 5-10PSI. But I stated my oil pressure b/f my re-build and they said it seemed high also so I should be good. But It didn't really drop at all on the re-build. At WOT I see 80PSI Steady.

during the summer around 90-100 degree's outside last year after it had been runnig for a long time I would still see idle pressure at 40 and WOT around 70. So as for being on the high side of the bearing clearances I guess this is what there prediction would be.
