does anyone have any good reccomendations for any engine oil coolers? like cheap but efficient? or is it one of those things you can go cheap on, like intercooler for example. because i found one from cxracing on ebay for like 120 bucks which i think is cheap and comes with everything i need, like the filter adapter plate, braided lines, fittings and oil cooler, and o-rings. any ideas?? idc about name brand, like greddy, etc.

The cxracing one should work just as fine. A friend of mine uses it on his S13 and it hasn't faulted on him yet. I'd give it a shot!

DON'T DO IT!!! i brought this kit and it sucked. the only thing iam using is the cooling unit. the oil tree dosn't have a thermostat and that is crucial to make sure your oil isn't too cold for op temps. spend the coin and get a greddy oil cooler tree(ebay for 160.00) and get a coling unit. then get some hp lines. trust me i went the cheap route and iam paying more money now.

also those sid plugs tend to leak(even with tef tape).

Someone told me to go find an RX-7 intercooler and then build my own kit around it.

Build your own -10 or -12. Oil bypass block with remote filter plate, Few fittings and lines.

Mines goes from the out of the bypass block, to the remote filter, out of the filter to the cooler, back to the bypass block.

Cost total was about $250

If you use the sandwich block you dont reloacte the filter, but if you use a bypass block you use a filter relocator.

To relocate the filter use this kit, but you wont use those hoses
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRD-1113/
and you need 4 of these
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-660500/

- remove oil oil filter and drain oil
- install 1/2NPT to -10AN adapters to oil bypass block
- Plumb from the OUT on the block to the IN on the remote mount
- From the OUT of the remote mount to the oil cooler
- From the oil cooler to the IN of the bypass block

You will need 6 -10 AN fitting of the angle of you choice, and 10 foot of line, hardware and time. I used a 25 row oil cooler, and now you get to use a huge Ford oil filter.

i will go your route ^_^. im assuming the middle hole of the bypass block, is pushing oil out?? and the other hole on the outside of the middle hole, is where the oil goes back IN to the block? correct? but also looking on their site i cant find that kit for the ka. :(

it will take more oil because you have to think of the extra space the original amount of oil has to compensate for. (the lines and cooler) so since the ka uses 4 with a filter, i would say maybe 4 1/2 or 3/4.

oil bypass comes with that kit. and yeah it will take more oil. Use 4.5 quarts, run for 10 seconds wait 2 minutes check oil and fill to level, then repeat until full.

i made the mistake of buing this garbage.'

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-PERF ... 3f03ca324e

the tree is s***. and leaked out the side, and it didnt have a thermostat(very important). so iam spending more money because i brought the greddy unit after so don't be jipped..

and idk man, thats one is plate/block is over twice as much as the one outtowin has, any input guys about the summit vs greddy? because the summit makes it away from the block, but also easier to acces and is cheaper. the greddy one is twice as much, and keeps the filter on the block.

Out To Win, it looks like summit doesn't carry the brand of kit you have for a KA, they don't even list 240sx under applications for that kit. Looked under Nissan 2.4L and all they have are the 810 and 240Z, don't suppose either of those will kit the KA, would they?
