Think he was saying that injectors on the 97Q41 made in 1996 are different from the 94-96 Q45.

But he refers to the other 5 injectors in his '94, that had been replaced by the previous owner.

"That's the 'postmortem' I did on 3 'original' ones off my '94--all went progressively HI ohms in 3 months of ethanol in gas. The other 5 had been replaced by P.O. just B4 I bought it 4 yrs/50K miles ago and have different potting compound. "

I hope he means injectors for the G50, including my '96.

Are the injectors in your '96 top feed?

update from replacing all my fuel injectors with rebuilt / refurbished injectors from Deatsch W E R K S. they said all mine were too far gone and sold me a set of 8 of their reconditioned units.

Well I have replaced 4 of them already with new injectors, and now I have 2 more that need replacement.

Moral of this story, is you're gonna replace them, use new only.

This initially was not the most fun job, but I did it myself, now I've had to go back in twice replacing 2 each time, and now I have to back in again and replace 2 more.

Congrats! At least you're getting closer to what the car performance specs should be.

New is new. Refurbished is used. Injectors are wear items.

Wow... that's not a good update - but we appreciate you taking the time to post it! I think I would just go ahead and replace all four - or at least move the remaining two remans to cylinders 1&2 so that you don't have to pull the "damn spider" a fourth time!

Why you always use brand spankin new parts, not cleaned or used- especially in jobs that are labor intensive. My original injectors have 210,000 miles on them, why gamble with anything less when time comes to replace them?

And Q45tech's are closing in on 350K, with little or no ethanol run through them.
