Thanks I love that picture as well. Theres just little pieces left and we should be able to turn the key in a few weeks!

I got my oil lines today but no oil bung =[ Once we get it Sean can weld it up and then we're able to drop the motor in!

I know this thread is in need of an updating. I really can only show this picture. My brother has more of it. I have been in NC for two weeks so this project keeps getting put on hold.

I am almost done with this. I need to finish weld around the head flange and check for pinholes and it should be good to go. I still need to drill and weld in the Wastegate but that is a cake walk compared to what we've done so far. Enjoy.

So the motor is almost ready to be put back in! Just have to finish up removing the emissons off the intake manifold.
Image

We picked up my car from Sean's work so we can drop the motor in, in the next couple of days!

Well I installed all the vacuum lines and reassembled the manifold today. Tomorrow it is time to install the clutch, trans and drop the set into the car. This weekend I assume we'll be in a position to start welding some intercooler piping and getting the DP and exhaust plumbed up.

This is starting to get really exciting....

thanks man! I thought about selling them, but realistically what would you pay? I know KA-t guys are cheap. What would be a reasonable price to charge for one of these?

Just got back from a long night of welding up the IC piping. My aluminum TIG welding isn't the greatest, but it'll have to do. Tomorrow I plan on finishing the Turbo manifold, I still need to plumb in a WG flange. Once thats done, I can finish work on the DP and Exhaust. Tomorrow will be a really busy day. Hopefully Brendan can post a few pics...

car looks good  I got a question though...I just picked up a 93 coupe w/ ka-t. The clutch is slipping, you guys say your using a sr clutch, are you using a sr pressure plate too? Is it a direct bolt in? I got a couple sr clutches kicking around and if I can fix mine for free I would be very excited.

It is a direct bolt up but you also need a SR flywheel.

Quick text update, We got a lot of little things done since our last update. We installed injectors, fish plated the area around the strut towers, that are notorious for rust, relocated the relay box on the drivers side, installed the gages, installed the FPR, fixed the wiring in the wheel wells and relocated so it wont rub again. There is probably a ton of other things we did this weekend. Hopefully my brother will get photos up soon.

since we got most of the gauges placed last night i figured i would run the wires and get them working today, i pretty much have no fingerprints left due to hot wires..

Mark, can you think of a better way to get the leverage needed to drill through SS?

Mini update!
We installed a DO NOT ENTER SIGN skid plate

Sean did cut out a hole so we wouldn't have to remove the skid plate each oil change.
Image

Sean and I made an air duct for my intercooler.

We are waiting on the manifold to be finished at the machine shop.
