rb is too heavy for time attack, car needs to be as light as possible...among other reasons

the plans for this car have been relatively set in stone for a few months now, so nobody needs to worry about ideas at this point

Score!!!!

It's gonna need a NICO-style paint job... We'll get together and discuss the cost of materials...

Just immagine how I feel. This kind of crap never happens in my area, and of course the first time it does, I'm out of the country. I should be able to get a few wrench turns in when I get back though.

OK, since no one has brought this up yet... We're gonna need some sort of beer and pizza fund.

How equipped are the garages that this car will be at? The one I worked at before I left was pretty badass, and the owner is awesome, so we could probably work on it a little there, so long as the car isn't sitting in it for weeks at a time. It's located in North Kingstown, RI.

I've got a pair of New Corbeau Forza seats, with S14 brackets though.I will sell for cheap. Say $200 per seat w bracket. Come on now, you are going to need a pair for ride alongs and such. .........................................................................................................Or at least thats how Seibon conned me into 2 of their carbon seats LOL. If the seats are wanted, let me know.

Sean, get this project in my garage pronto, I need a reason to put the padlock back on the doors. But seriously, I'll give you a call when I get back to NH on sunday, I might be able to help out with a trailer as well.

Hmmm even if they aren't I know of some place they are wanted.

Suspension is still up for discussion, but i don't want any speculation, give me spring rates, rebounds things that can be useful, brands are personal preferance. please be as un bias as possible if you make suggestions,

i don't know what kind of brakes you will run....but if i were you....i'll do (either) of these two...:

1- STI BREMBO cliper + Evo rotor.....front it will need an adapter...the rear will BOLT right up.....

ALL this for 1100 $

2- '06 + ZO6 cliper + rotor....the front's are 6 piston with two piece rotor....and the rear are 4 piston + two piece rotor....

and all that for 1200$. ..the 6 pot cliper is 170$ only. .lol...

hope this help...

Why would anyone need that much braking power in a light weight 240sx? 300zx stuff will do just fine.

I do however applaud you for your mad scientist ideas.

1- going fast = stopping fast...

2- check this killer setup for brakes...:

14'' rotor + 6 piston cliper...

I'm not saying that isn't awesome... I am saying that it is totally un-needed. Why spend more than a G on brakes when this time attack car will be more than over braked (yeah I made that up) with a ~$500 set of Z32 brakes? Hell, if that car gets stripped enough, the stock brakes would probably do just fine.

All's I'm saying is that is a lot of pizza and beer money right there.

JIC FLT-A2 is a good suspension setup for track use, or so I hear.http://www.jic-magic.com/ViewN...at=RD

7 kg/mm Front5 kg/mm Rear15-way Adjustable dampers

I assume they use it (or something very close to it) on their company time-attack car.

If you are going all out on the suspension, I might also consider replacing all the other suspension components. SPL Parts is the company I had in mind for my suspension pieces and they use QA1 Teflon injected solid spherical bushings for all the endlinks. (They also used to have the load ratings for each part listed.)

I live on Hanscom AFB here in Bedford, Mass.

I can definitely help out with just about anything. I also have a few parts left over from my build. Not alot of Essss RRRrrrr stuff though.

I'm up for traveling. I just need a bit of a notice though. I have two tool boxes between work and home.. Pneumatic tools out the wazoo.. And plenty of sweat and blood to donate.

I also have Aluminum 30mm Z32 brakes that I 'may' be willing to part with.... we'll see.

Give me a shout. AIM= EazyE4You MSN= E_APPIE (AT) hotmail.com
