So, we're thinking of getting some shirts made up with the new logo so we can raise some money for the 2011 race. I'm gauging interest here. We need to do a minimum order of 48 shirts and they'll be this logo digitally printed on white shirts:

They"ll go for $20.00 each, shipped to your door. Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Also, if you're interested, post your shirt size so I can get an idea of what sizes we might need.

We had just five of these printed before SEMA. Here's me in one speaking with PPIHC Unlimited Driver Dave Carapetyan (on my left), and Mike Magree of True Kustom in Denver.

This is turning into a hell of a collaboration - I encourage ALL of you to pass this info on to people in your address list, and anyone you may know in the industry... Even if it's just a link to this thread.

It need not be restricted to people in the automotive industry - LOTS of companies are happy to support a well-run race team, especially one with so much grassroots support!

Keep up the awesome work, Ken!!!

Good luck in 2011, Ken. No doubt you'll be giving the GT3 team a run for their money.

My network is full of tech-companies. :( Wish I could throw some potential sponsors your way... Will spread the word on the off-chance that someone may be interested.

wow. darn near zero interest in a t-shirt. Guess I'll just print up a few to give away. Glad I gauged the interest before printing up a bunch of em'!

Thanks!

We ended up having to push back our first test date from this weekend to the 29th at MSR Houston. As usual, we are having a hard time coming up with tires. We think we have secured a set of slightly used Hoosier A6's for this new test date.

Mike Patterson, a well known, very competent NASA American Iron driver will be running the test and doing the driving. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it down for the test, which is why Mike is taking over the driving duties that weekend.

I will be back on March 11-12 for a test session coming up out at MSR Cressen, just south of Fort Worth. After that test session the suspension comes off and a few upgrades will be made and the Motons go back to Moton USA for a rebuild and re-valve.

We'll probably also try at that time to get the bigger IC on for testing. We'll see.

I want to remind everyone that we'll be at MSR Cresson, just outside Ft. Worth, Friday and Saturday testing the Pink car. A few changes this year will be put to the test as we dial in the setup for this years Pikes Peak Hill Climb. We'll have Brice Yingling from Alamo Autosports, NASA pro racer and driving instructor Mike Patterson, ALMS race engineer Josh Chang, Pikes Peak Unlimited Driver Dave Carapetyan and my co-driver Travis Tollett. This will be your best opportunity to come see the Pink Car in action and meet our entire crew. The "Fatman" himself, Steve Davis, will also be on hand.
Josh Chang is a graduate of Cranfield University in the UK with a degree in Race Engineering. Josh will be helping us get the suspension dialed in and giving the overall program a genral "look see". Josh has extensive experience in the ALMS series and we're very happy to be getting his support.
Mike Patterson has been a force in the NASA American Iron series for the past several years and is also an instrucor in that series. he will be providing some much needed coaching from the right seat on Friday, and will also spend some time in the driver seat on Saturday.
Dave Carapetyan, besides being a very competent Rally Driver and three time chamion at Pikes Peak in the Open division, is also a very creative film maker. Dave will be shooting footage for us on Friday that we hope to put into a video blog that we'll post here as well as on Facebook and on our Fatman Racing website.

On the Agenda:
Dialing in the MOTON's
Alignment testing
Tire pressure testing
Dialing in the Brakes

The motor is what it is and we're pretty confident in the tune that Brice has provided.

Should be a good weekend. If you're anywhere near the area, please come by and say hi!

Ken.

Well, Kids, here it is. The much requested on-board video from our test session at MSR Cresson this past weekend. We have a few bugs to sort out, and had an adventuresome Friday after blowing out the power steering unit and breaking the header. Friday night into Saturday morning was spent repairing the header damage, but the steering was ripped and replaced right there at the track. Fun stuff.
Saturday we were back on track, but were sidelined after just two sessions with a broken tension rod bracket. Under heavy braking the tension arm would try to wrap itself around the lower control arm, taking the bracket with it. Luckily, we noticed the problem before the bracket severed itself completely.
Reapirs are underway and we'll be back on the track in late April for another round of testing.

This makes me want a box with a turbo behind my passenger, too.
