Oh ok, thanks much. In that case I guess the previous owner of my car switched them out with LED's for me, ha. I always noticed how nice they looked but didnt realize they werent OEM, thanks previous owner. I also think my reverse lights are LEDs... are the OEM reverse lights incandescents as well?DoN_BLaZe34 wrote:No, I believe they're incandescents (aka regular bulbs)
Thanks Freddie, I havent checked for sure yet, but I'm pretty sure they're LEDs as well, great guy that previous owner.06M4.5 wrote:yes they are
Hahaha that's funny. The previous owner on my M did the same thing. Didn't replace the reverse lights though, BUT did have hids in the fogs..granted I changed them but still lola.blanco0905 wrote:Oh ok, thanks much. DoN_BLaZe34 wrote:You will almost definitely need resistors
Me? Resistors for what? HIDs at the fog lights or side markers?IlyaKol wrote:Yes but you will probably need to use load resistors or they will blink fast.
Ok, I think we're not on the same page...DoN_BLaZe34 wrote:If you do led turn signals then you will need resistors
Now, what I refer to as "side markers" are on the sides of the car or on the fenders, is that what I need resistors for? Can we even get LED's for those?a.blanco0905 wrote:..and the side markers are orangy when they blink, can we switch those to LED's as well?
Yes sir, you have!!! When I get ready to this I'll ask where I have put the resistors at.DoN_BLaZe34 wrote:Did I clear the confusion?
Not unless you have hands the size of a small child.richbrown83 wrote:IM brand new to the M. Can all of the bulbs be changed from under the hood? I really dont feel like going into the wheel well

Yes, but they last a long time. Another good brand is Morimoto. Phillips has a couple different bulbs that have different kelvin ratings...such as 85122, 85122+, 85122CM, 85122WX, etc.EniGmA1987 wrote:Really expensive too... What is second best?
Looks like those bulbs are only 4300K temperature as well, what is considered the best 6000K temperature D2S bulbs?
