Thanks! I love my car all over again. I even contemplated getting rid of her...tisk tisk. With new wheels it sure as heck wakes up the looks and makes me feel much prouder to drive her.

Bought it at the auction for $4000 and love it. It's actually my fiances daily driver. I just went to by something decent for $4K when I saw this baby rolling in...a little better than decent! All stock, but it runs mint and is nice and clean. It actually turns some heads with a nice low offset wide wheel tire package that I put together

Click here to see a nice pic of it.http://img71.imageshack.us/img...o.jpg

I have a White 1990 Q with 314K. By far the best car I've ever owned. It's completely stock but seriously considering getting that NICO ECU.

Whats up with the centercaps? are they chrome, or did you paint them black, or what?

But that is exactly where it goes.

One striped, one not.

You newbies with pre 1994 need to get over to the timing chain guide article in Infiniti Articles now before even starting your car again. Really.

Yeah, I thought they would look cool black. They definitely look better than the partially bare plastic as seen below. They were just painted silver, did those wheels come in chrome originally? Concerning the timing chain issue, is there any way to tell if it was done by a visual inspection? Can it be assumed that the car would never have made it to 314k without being done?

Thanks,Grant

I have a pretty wild Q45. My dad gave me this car for free because he could not sell it for any low price even though it is immaculate. I hope you guys aren't ALL purists like another site who gave me a hard time. It looks like you have a lot of very nice modified cars here. Maybe I can fit in a little better. I did all my own work and spent $1300 on it. It actually is stock mostly but now a little different visually. I call it my 1969 Q45. I was finally able to post pictures at: http://q45.spliky.com/gallery/v/?g2_page=37

You can click on each picture to make it bigger. I am 18 and did the work myself and learned how to prep and paint. Please go easy, as I worked very hard on it. I also posted a picture of my Dad's old Z car from years ago. Many thanks, John

Variety is the spice of life and two tone adds to our variety! It's great to have people post their "out of the norm" ideas here. I say welcome and give me more....

Thank you 60sq45:Please post some more pictures. I have been curious as to what could be done in multi-color -- have not seen many examples.

I still don't know how to post pictures here but someone did it for me on another thread of mine.

GO to: page two of these q45 forums

Select thread: I am new, how do I post pictures?

Scroll down the entire page and someone has posted them for me there

Poppop is sending me a set of mudflaps so I can customize them and reinstall them. I don't care for the way they look stock.

The hood scoop is the smallest and shortest I could find that had the same slopping angle as the hood itself; but it looks larger in the pictures because of the reflection on the hood.

It was done by a small shop. They measured the rear stock muffler. Then we looked thru the Flowmaster catalog (Any brand you want will work or can be made to work) and picked 1 out. I chos the 50 series because all the 4.6 fords Ive heard with 40 series were too loud for my taste.

Mine is a dual in, single out with split tip. 2 3/4 pipes IIRC. they basically followed the same lines as the stock exhaust, with hangers being the only fabbed part. Total cost of muffler/tip/material/labor was $263.

I would like to have an x-pipe sometime in the future and the cats removed. They took out the 2 resonators as well. Basically a catback system for now.

hope that helps. I have a sound clip on here somewhere.............http://www.sdproducktions.biz/m...p.MOV

Remember there are alot of other good/better mufflers out there, dynomax, gibson, walker, basani, borla

I went for the cheaper flowmasters because its my daily beater and I didnt want to drop fat cash just for sound.

Also thx for the compliment:)
