It's actually only 380 miles which isn't a bad drive at all. I drove the Frontier from Tennessee to Carlisle last spring, almost 500 miles. It was a nice road trip.mn300zx wrote:So, branson Z fest is on the same weekend, 600 miles south. If I have a 300zx do I have to choose between either one or the other??
I wasn't suggesting anyone move their event. I know it's way too late for that. I would like to say that when planning events in the future, it would be a good idea to check what else is going on in the area at the same time. The Z community is HUGE on events, especially those involving track time.AZhitman wrote:Not only that, but moving it a week or two either direction isn't going to assuage the Z faithful... not likely to get anyone to do back-to-back events.
Torry will continue to seek a solution, but this event has a history as well that's a decade in the making...
We don't have ANY assurances that those folks would have any interest in attending... then again, if there's only one day of overlap, it may wind up working out well for all involved.

If the only thing you're doing is the dragstrip, you'll be paying at the track for Friday night test & tune night through the track. I believe it's like $15.DrifterXRPS13 wrote:Do you have to register even if you don't plan on doing any track events?
I'll be dragging my bike on friday night, but i noticed there is no option for bikes on the registration page.
i won't have a car for the weekend so please let me know if i have to do anything else to get my bike on the track for friday night only. thanks dudes.
Sure! There won't be a designated "swap meet" per se, but you are more than welcome to try to sell or trade parts at the track all weekend!Cscray94 wrote:We are thinking of bringing our rally 510 from wisconsin, but courious if there will be any opportunity to sell/swap any datsun parts?
Thanks!
Yeah, I'll email them tonight.DrifterXRPS13 wrote:Just registered so i'm def in...hopefully a large t-shirt will shrink a bit to fit me because my nico shirt is too small to wear...i are sad.
oh torry, sorry to keep bothering you, can you find out what the specs are for teh drag strip as in do i need to be wearing a full suit to drag cause most tracks require a suit to drag your bike.
This is the email I got back from them:DrifterXRPS13 wrote:oh torry, sorry to keep bothering you, can you find out what the specs are for teh drag strip as in do i need to be wearing a full suit to drag cause most tracks require a suit to drag your bike.
If I end up going we can caravan out, It's going to be one heck of a road trip!breadbox wrote:Hmmm. I may have to try hard to make this one. its 21 hours away. One stretch of road is 900+ miles and goes through like 4 states. I think I will try to have the 240 hatch ready to go out there and then I can track it lightly while hanging out and drive back.
I'll also see if the company I work for wants to be a sponsor.
Jim has electricity hook-ups. Just let us know what you need. I think there is a charge but it's no where near the cost of the hotel. The bathrooms have showers in them. Very nice facility.BORNGEARHEAD wrote:how do I go about getting a site with electricity for my camper? Also, I'm assuming the facilities/showers are going to be open and available to us, correct? Do you know if anyone else is planning on staying at the track/camping, besides the Wisconsin crew?
I want to make sure that I am able to get a site with electricity if there is a limited number of those sites available. I'm not sure if I need to get hold of "Jim"(lol) to make a reservation for the site or if there is a number I can call.nissangirl74 wrote:

Jim is the General Manager for Mid-America Motorplex. You can contact him directly if you'd like regarding the camping arrangements, or we can ask him. Either way, it's up to you. His number is 402-306-5015. Email is [email protected]BORNGEARHEAD wrote:Thank you.

Brian, there will be plenty of space around the track to set up as a vendor. Please read this page to learn more about our sponsorship levels: http://www.nissanconvention.com/sponsorsJerseyParts wrote:Where are the Vendors Setting up at? do you have any info on that?
and who do I contact to be a vendor?
