Ok the AT-4 is a crap weapon system that is only good for taking out land based medium and light armored vehicles. You absolutely cannot use it to take out aircraft. It's a fire and forget weapon and was developed to replace the TOW anti-tank weapon system used from Vietnam until the mid 80's when the AT-4 came into use. Everybody gets to fire it once in basic, and for the most part that's usually the only time you ever see it.

Why they didn't opt to put the Javelin or the SMAW (or the improved SRAW) missile systems is beyond me. The Javelin is a laser guided fire and forget anti-tank and anti building weapons system and te SMAW is the natural upgrade from the AT-4 . Or better yet, why not just put the stinger in the game, since most of what people use the rocket launcher perk for is to take down Helicopters. But then the stupid noobs wouldn't have an advantage.

Oh and from what I've seen the Noob Tube is making a return.

Quick QAre the NVG's going to be worth it? Is everyone going for the prestige edition or is it just a piece of junk pair of night vision goggles?

I totally agree, Chaotic. The AT-4 is horrible in real life. I've fired live HE ones (not the 9mm tracer rounds the drill sergeants key in to the training ones in basic), and you have to be dead-on steady to be effective with it. And it certainly would not have the homing, surface-to-air capabilities as shown in the trailer. The TOW missle system is capable of hitting low flying helicopters, though!

As for the AC-130, I'm guessing it will be deadly if you use the Gatling gun, but if you go to the heavier weapons on it, they will have very low rates of fire, making it easier to be shot down. Plus, if you are playing HC games, you run the risk of taking out teamates if you go heavy.

I'm hearing rumors about multiple attachments on weapons, i.e., sights and scopes with suppressors, larger magazines, etc. Anyone know what's up?

The AT-4 ingame is the AT-4IR so it uses Infrared tracking to acquire its target. Which explains why the AC-130 used flares, as they would confuse the projectile.

Hopefully the AC only has like one set of Flares otherwise it will really be overpowered in core games. In hardocre i think people would be scared to use it cuz of team killing

I tell you what, if they put HC Free For All in this game like they had in WAW then the AC130 will absolutely dominate the game. I just hope they don't make it an easy perk to get, like make it available to people who have Prestiged at least twice, I know a lot of people who get a ten kill streak on a regular basis especially in WAW, Hell I've done it especially with the dogs and I rarely ever streak like that.

I pray for larger maps with nice places to hide, epsically with the AC-130 put into the mix, it would be nice not to be cooped up like abunch of chickens in a butcher room. and with the AC-130 perk, im sure only the gatling gun will be available. I also cross my fingers for personal gear loadout. It would be cool to make your guy look the way you want, like MGO or socom.

While huge maps would be great for large party Team DM's they might be a bit much for Free For All games, not to mention the CTF and S&D games. As far as the AC-130 goes, if you watch the video you'll see that they utilize every weapon the aircraft has on tap. The Gatling gun is great but the mini howitzer and 40MM grenade launcher are it's bread and butter.

I too would like to see a customizable character but the COD aren't exactly known for having that option b/c you alternate between OPFOR and the good guys each round.

I dont think we will be able to customize our characters, but i wish we could. There are only like 4 teams and 5 classes for each team so thats 20 characters to customize.

Whats a little strange is that the character in the trailerThe guy who chucks the Semtex grenade and the guy who calls the AC130, have red tiger clothes on.So maybe we will be able to apply camo to our outfits.

To be honest I just hope its MP is as good as COD:WAW now that they bugs are fixed and the glitches are gone. I've been playing MW again for a couple weeks now and am aggravated daily by the difficulty of it. It's like the game is only good for people who have prestiged like 8 or 9 times. It should be point and shoot and in the Hc games it pretty much is but the core is so effing hard to kill anyone, but I seem to die from a single burst from anything but I pretty much have to unload a full clip into a guy to kill him. And it's not like I can take the time to aim at a dudes head because all anyone does is run around. Lots of pray and spray behavior and it is annoying.

Now don't get me wrong I usually go 9-4 which isn't so bad, I do better when the room is full, but I also move tactically, slow, steady constantly checking behind me and yet I still get killed because everyone else is running around like chickens with there heads cut off. I will say I've been in a couple games where the the OPFOR team had there isht together and would just dominate because they are using actual squad tactics, which is the way the game should be played, especially the domination and S&D games, but I'm stuck in teams full of people who just want to kill.

Oh and TK's are reallllllly starting to piss me off, I hope MW2 kicks TKers out like WAW does, I might accidentally TK 1 or 2 guys b/c they are dumbasses and run in front of me while I'm trying to shoot someone or they step on my cooked off grenades that I blind throw like artillery .

This is actually why I've been playing Battlefield: Bad Company a lot lately -the game has a much more tactical approach to it, and teammates work really well together (of course there is some regular douchebaggery, as in all games). Its refreshing to play an objective based game where your squad has to work together, or else you will lose...

That's why I'm more psyched about Operation Flashpoint:Dragon Rising and ARMA II coming to the 360 this fall. MW is great and all but after about a month it's not worth playing anymore because all the Prestiged people who have nothing better to do than play COD. Honestly I've been able to prestige on both games forever now but see the point in starting all over again. The weapons I like to use the most are in the upper ranks, so starting new again is pointless and will take me forever to get back to where I am at.

Its sad but all really mainstream games attract douche canoes. And the play all dayers, cuz its the cool game to be good at.

I actually liked when WaW came out cuz then COD4 kinda quieted down for a while, and only the people who truly enjoyed the game were left. Finally people actually captured the flags in domination instead of just sniping and the tubers left HC.

Im a little worried that MW2 is going to be filled with COD4 and WaW players, which means double the aeholes to deal with.

COD4 is the closest thing to a CounterStrike successor ive played in a long time, i really wish Valve would instead of releasing Left 4 Dead 1.85, do a full CounterStrike game.

I started playing on the CBK server for HC Sabotage. The thing I liked about that server was that they banned/kicked for noob tubing. However, eventually the staff head for that server started banning everything that was killing his k/d ratio. So eventually LMGs had to be put away and C4. I'm highly surprised they didn't start getting on people for sniper rifles and random nade tossing over dead zones (like tossing from the high ground starting point in Crossfire to the little convenience store backyard area).

I love the random nade toss, it's effing awesome, b/c 9 times out of 10 you never get a real chance to chuck it at someone because no one ever stays still, it's always run and gun and if I can chuck 3 nades towards a group of enemies across the board and kill one or two it's like my own little air strike.

Thought i would bump this as Fourzerotwo just let it slip that dual wield is confirmed in MW2. At the last press conference he was showing off the latest build of the game, when the "stumbled" upon dual deagles.

Throwing knifes as far as i can tell the knife replaces grenade 1(the frag grenade)

If you look at the bottom of the screen before he chucks the knife theres a little knife icon next to the flash nade. When he chucks it, the knife icon disappears. So im guessing at loadout you will have the option to have a frag grenade or a knife.

Also the E-UAV hammer i was talking about earlier, its confirmed. Right before he chucks the knife as he approaches 402 you see his radar go cloudy, as soon as 402 dies the radar clears up.

Im just wondering what slot E-UAV Jammer is going to take up.

Further, dual load out is also confirmed.....knife chucker is using a Silenced-Red dotted gun.
