Sigh this thread keeps getting better and better. Bad timing on this deal though. I got insurance due plus i couldn't be without headlights for 3 days. Good work though Brandon.

Hey Mcheddadi,Not sure if you were planning on doing this or not, but on the first page of this thread there's a list of people getting projectors. Is there anyway you can mark "completed" or something next to the names once they have received them from Brandon?Might help clear things up when Brandon starts completing these.

Sedan too. Bina is getting it done and he has a sedan. Check the previous page, his comment about sending the deposit in is there!

Ok guys,

I got back from my gf's, I drove around for about 30mins or so trying to find a really dark area with enough space to show you what it looks like, err no dice, really. This is the best I can do right now with low batteries, tired and not having all night as I have an important business meeting stupid early in the morning.

As you can see the place I chose is lite up, not very dark but you can see two things I need to raise my headlights a bit, and the nice sharp cutoff

up against my garage door.

I will try to post pictures up on how wide the beams are. The best way I can describe the width of the projectors is you drive down a highway your projectors are 2-3 lanes on either side of you. When you drive down a road, your side profiles can be seen on garage doors, on the country road the ditches are lite up. I hopefully can get you guys better pics when I can find a suitable place. Sorry guys.

Brandon, I know I already sent you the deposit for the HID kit...do you think the factory ballast would work as well as an aftermarket one? If so, would I still be able to get the 6000K bulbs in there?

You said in a previous post that these thin angel eyes weren't as bright...will they still be visible during the day & at night with the HIDs on? Yeesh...so many questions from me, hey? haha

honestly it all depends the set im getting you has a lifetime warranty where the nissan set wont, but some people want oem parts so this would be the best bet for them. the angel/demon eyes will be still visible in the daytime unless its super bright outside where you cant even see, but for a white light in the daytime there bright enough to be visible. the bmw factory ones where halogen up until recently where they went to fiber optic i believe thats why you could always see them

Those shrouds look sweet Brandon. I order the gatlin style shrouds. Do you think you can post up some side by side pics of these shrouds and the gatlin style with both the thick and thin angel eyes?

***EDIT ***

Nevermind Brandon, Went to page 4 of the thread and found the two shrouds side by side. Looking at the shrouds, I'm still leaning towards the gatlin style. Can you post up pics of the gatlin with both style of angel eyes you have in stock? Or since you're the expert, which angel eye would look better on the gatlin, thick or thin?

looking really good spock.....are these the fx projectors with the tsx lenses? these pics eliminate every doubt that i ever had in my mind

question.....how do you know that they need to be raised? do you need to sit a certain amount of feet back from the wall and then the beam should be so many inches high?

Aiming the headlights is done exactly as you said. I'm not sure the exact distance you are supposed to be away from a wall and then how high the beam is supposed to be (should be on the internet somewhere), but this is how it's done. With the way Brandon is mounting the projectors, I believe this can easily be done the exact same way as OEM adjustment (Brandon, please correct me if I'm wrong). If this is the case, it is a very simple fix that anyone can perform once they have the lights in their car.

Also, tons of light coming out of those things. Not sure if it's just the camera, but the shot up against the garage has the highlights blown WAY out. Looking good for sure. I wish I could afford this mod right now.

the only thing i know is that the passenger side beam is supposed to be aimed 2 inches higher than the driver side beam when parked 25 feet away from the wall....im just not sure how high the cutoff is supposed to be from the ground. if anyone knows....please, chime in.

You mean lower, right? The goal is to not blind the oncoming traffic!

I haven't measured but the way it works in canada is from 25 feet the cutoff has to be 5 cm's below the center height of the headlight. What thats supposed to be I am not sure, haven't checked.

hey guys basically what spock said is correct. the best way to know if the lights are high or to high is to go close to a wall as close as you can and measure the cutoff to the ground then measure the centre of the light to the projector and they should be pretty close to the same number. the one on the garage shouldnt be higher. then once you get them lined up you can make small adjustments to the passenger side at 25 feet awayand create the step so the passenger side is higher, most people say there is a general number to go with but personally i find its based on preference, depending on where you live, your vehicle and what not you may want it higher or lower then where i put it for you, just make sure to keep it higher then the drivers side. The one thing ive always found with hid/ projectors is you will always get people highbeaming you, especially older cars with halogens that are coming at you because you will easily overpower there lights, as long as your lights are coming straight out and not pointed upwards you shouldnt worry about getting highbeamed, think about all the suvs out there where there lights are that much higher and how you feel when there behind you with there lights right in your mirror. just remember you wont ever be like those people we curse at becuase they leave us seeing bright spots
