Yesterday, 20100225, I was recommended as "Must select" by the Officer Selection Board for the Sioux Falls Recruiting Battalion, US Army. I must now wait until March 10th to find out if the Recruiting Headquarters accepts me, but from all indicators it looks like I'm good to go for Basic Training, followed by Officer Candidate School sometime this summer\fall.

Here's a bit about what it was like: http://chopparmy.blogspot.com/....html

It'd be killer to see you at Benning in about a few months! Good work man.

It will indeed. After OCS comes branch school, and infantry school is at Benning, plus all the pretty much required courses for an infantry officer; sniper employment, Airborne, and Ranger school. Airborne Assault would be a blast too...

Nice. My buddy Ken is waiting on his Top Secret clearance so he can ship out to EOD training. He already spent a few months in Iraq as a combat engineer.

CONGRATS!

I'm going to be putting in my officer packet this year, hopefully something will come from it. And from what I've heard, Air Assault training is a blast!
