An inside television network memo was leaked recently. It explains how Obama wants the major networks to inject certain shows with specific morals. The memo itself must be read to be believed.

im sorry, but you are an absolute moron if you sit there and take this and turn it into a huge Obama thing. Last i checked, and I read the memo 5 times, it says that the EIF wants to use Obama's push for values and such to promote those in their shows. Never once did the memo say that Obama had asked for this, nor did it say that the government had anything to do with it. As best as I can tell your logic is:

1.) President Obama wants america to be better parents, and live more moral lives (hardly far from the Bush years)

2.) An organization comes out in support of this general message/push, and want to use their resources to bring about this change.

3.) Obama MUST BE CONTROLLING HOLLYWOOD. NO FREE SPEECH. KOMRADE OBAMA ZEIG HEIL. ZEIG HEIL.

FAIL.

I absolutely can not believe that hollywood is doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. I'm not saying obama is sitting behind his desk, twisting his handlebar mustache while plotting the downfall of our civilization, however his messages and morals and being blindly taken on by ignorant celebrities and pushed onto our children and more impressionable people.

The advertisements promote far extreme-left websites and some inappropriate content for audiences that the shows are aimed at. (planned parenthood and abortion clinics, websites promoting nationalized healthcare as a miracle fairytale cure-all for america) While not a big deal to most independently minded people, this is a very big deal for most children. To children, these advertisements and moral projections from shows are truth to them, absolute and undeniable truth unless someone of higher standing to the child (aka a parent) speaks to them and explains things.

If I could edit my title I would, it was a bit extreme, feels like it takes a more interesting/controversial title to get anyone to click on something in this forum. So maybe you just saw the title and responded, but I was quite cool and collected in my post. You need to chill out.

You still fail. Im sorry, but for 8 years we were all indoctrinated that if you don't support the war, then you hate the troops. I didn't hear any backlash from the right about that? Wait, you mean its only acceptable when the GOP is behind it? You mean Obama's messages of hope, staying in school, achieveing your maximum potential, are MORE dangerous to children than, "You are either with us or against us?"

The reason why i think your post fails, isnt that you were being ridiculous or emotional, its that you took two unrelated issues and drew a direct connection in between them. There is absolutely no proof in the document that you posted, that the Obama administration has anything to do with this. Hollywood leans left. It always has. That being said, i DO believe that they are doing this on their own. Then again, i guess telling kids to stay in school is a dangerous message. After all, they might just grow up, learn how to read and realize that their parents were ignorant bigots. What would I know though? Im just a defeatocrat who drinks Obama-aid by the gallon.

ALSOI can see how to you the concepts (as taken directly from the document) of promoting:Education and HealthHealth and Well beingEnvironmental Conservation and reduced energy consumptionEconomic development and financial securitySupport for military families

I can see how those would be scary. Obama clearly is trying to manipulate our lives by promoting these evil and socialist ideals.

Play nice.

I'll try to bring some more info into this because it's interesting.

Here is the EIF website.

http://www.eifoundation.org/

It is chaired by Sherry Lansing, Paramount CEO.

She supports Barry, as does George Soros, my favorite Machiavellian Lib.

I think it's easily possible, he has these people's numbers and used them in the creation of this document.

Typical immediate defensive response. Give me a break. I have already stated my specific issues with the entire situation. Did you not even read my post? Why do you feel it necessary to turn me into an ignorant anti-progressive bigot? Here let me repeat myself:

Hmmmm.

So what are we to surmise from this all? I mean, I've been watching the lunatics in Hollywood rail on about freeing a convicted child rapist, claiming they'd leave the country if we didn't elect THEIR candidate, and supporting a corrupt and criminal legislature in a morally and financially bankrupt state.

NOW they're voluntarily trying to clean up their act, after years and years of fighting "the establishment" for the right to swear and screw on primetime TV?

Whatever.

I ain't buyin' it.

Unless you have a legit reason to call us tea partiers' racists you better keep it to yourself. Oh, and protesting against a man, who happens to be black, and happens to be our president, is not racist. Spray paint him white and I would still protest against him.
Wow what debating skills

I'm looking for the black, green and purple people at the tea parties but can't seem to locate any.

What else would one call people holding up Nazi signs at healthcare informational meetings, bringing guns and screaming instead of listening?

good lord people are ignorant. Tea party rally in washington was a peaceful gathering. no one got hurt, nothing got destroyed. no damages.

What happened at the liberal leftist g20? uummm...http://www.pennlive.com/midsta....html

What happened when obama was inaugurated?http://www.nowpublic.com/tech-...egins

tell ya what, why dont you try googling the ideas being spoon fed to you, read up on both sides, and make a decision for yourself instead of being a freakin sheep.

Stop blindly following your moronic 'savior' and start asking 'why' and looking for answers yourself.

This isnt about the tea party though, its about the indoctrination of our youth and impressionable minds. you dont have to agree with me, just start looking for your own answers from other sources than CNN and MSNBC!

Problem is, they promote all these great things all the while misinforming its public and lying to them. Pointing them to sites like:http://healthactionnow.org/

On the surface it promotes great ideas. But for the ignorant its just taken as fact. It isnt necessarily lying, but absolutely ommiting certain details is something apparent ALL OVER THIS SITE.

1. Site opens to a page with stories of people who cant afford healthcare. So we all feel awful about having jobs and being able to afford our OWN healthcare.

2. Click on the healthcare MYTHS page. My favorite being:Quote »Myth: Health care reform is too expensive – we can't afford it.Fact: The President and Congress have committed to producing legislation that will be paid for so it won't saddle our children and grandchildren with debt.
Prove it. All i see is a president who has tacked on $1.2T to the national debt with absolutely ZERO hope in site.

Quote »Fact: If we do nothing to fix health care, families with Medicare or employer-based health coverage will likely see their premiums nearly double again in the next seven years.Fact: If we do nothing to fix health care, the share of your income spent on health care will nearly double in the next seven years.
once again, where are these so called 'facts' coming from? these would be logical estimations of a mathmatical probability based on a VERY limited data set at best, and are being put forth as FACT. Sorry, that doesnt fly with me. I dont buy it.

Quote »Bottom Line: When one in three Americans say someone in their family skipped pills, postponed or cut back on needed medical care due to the cost; when countless bankruptcies are related to medical expenses; when the number of uninsured approaches 50 million; when government spending on health programs rises so rapidly that it jeopardizes other priorities; and when employers struggle to pay for the costs of health care, the fact is, we can't afford not to fix health care.
Once again, the 'poor me' mentality. Reform is needed, but this plan in and of itself can not be afforded by the american working public and needs to be completely rewritten!

I feel like liberals are lumping their ideals in with crap like 'relief for soldiers' and 'health and well being' and 'education for children' just so when someone like me, disagrees with it, you can go flinging ur propaganda crap about how i dont support education or soldier relief. i'm sick of it. try addressing the issues i have with the policies specifically instead of pulling the race/sympathy card without hesitation.

Last time I checked Herr Kommisar Howie, the National Socialists were Socialists and the participants in the TEA party stand in stark contrast to what Socialism stands for. You label incorrectly anything that can be perceived as right winged, as National Socialism. There has only ever been one real National Socialist movement here in the US and that was during the 1930. Known as the Bund, this movement was neither, republican nor conservative. But I am sure you will disagree and invoke either the Patriot Movement or the Skinhead/Neo Nazis Movement as being the quintessential right wing Nazi movement. Both of these movements would make horrible National Socialists and would probably be disassociated with the National Socialists of Germany during the 1930’s-40’s.

I would implore you to read “It Can’t Happen Here’ by Sinclair Lewis. Then ask yourself, on the current political pantheon of this country, who fits the bill (so to speak)? If you are honest with yourself, you will be surprised at your answer.

Don't get me started on Helio and his rage… But really all joking aside.

If you cut out the name President Obama and replace it President Bush and circulated this memo a few years ago, I wouldn’t have a hard time believing that the Liberal Left would have gone bananas over it.

To be honest, the lobbying paradigms have shifted. No longer can you only look to and lobby the Republican Party to champion certain causes. I am seeing this paradigm shift here at work. We are trying to engage our Democratic Senator to help champion our cause in regards to industry legislation coming up in Congress so that we not get squeezed out of the market by a Government take over.

You Sir, with this memo are probably seeing this paradigm shift.

Yep. A soon-to-be doctor. What's your excuse?

By the way, I've said it a hundred times, but in case it hasn't penetrated your tinfoil headgear:

Even if I disagree with that person: I have a lot more respect for someone who thinks independently, posts intelligent discussion on the merits of an issue, and doesn't rehash tired partisan rhetoric.

Helio, charlieo and C-kwikieo come to mind (to name a few).

And what does home-schooling have to do with anything? I'm dying to hear THIS profound nugget of wisdom.

Americans.

Maybe those are the people who GIVE A DAMN.

Maybe the rest are ignorant sheep who stand there with their lower lip hanging out, waiting for the Messiah to tug at their heart strings with some pathetic tale about some anomaly of the population who will benefit from "reform"...

Majority rules, Mr. President. And the MAJORITY are happy with their health care choices, EVEN including some of those who don't have it.

I wouldn't listen to the nonsense they were blathering either. Just because YOU can't comprehend the level of charlatanism that this Administration has brought to office doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Fabricated crises and "sky-is-falling" legislation make me sick.

The MAJORITY also favor a public option that those sellouts on Capitol Hill keep blocking.

Maybe people who shout down any discussion at what is supposed to be a public town hall are also just as big a flock of sheep for the other side.

It would be really nice if we could have a legitimate discussion of the issue without all the ignorant hysteria being shouted by BOTH sides and we had a Congress free of the multimillion dollars the insureance companies are throwing at it to prevent any true healthcare reform.

Not sure that's TOTALLY accurate. Hell, the Dems can't even agree:

Hardly overwhelming, and certainly not the kind of numbers that justify this MAD RUSH to accomplish something NOW:

Helio, charlieo and C-kwikieo come to mind (to name a few).
Awwww, you're so sweet! We don't disagree that often, though!

This whole thing REEKS of some pretty creepy Brave New World brainwashing.

The ridiculous thing is this has been going on for years in one form or another. It even happened in Burn Notice, a favorite show of mine. A few seasons ago Michael Weston was ALL about torturing b****es. This last season a character asked him if they should waterboard a bad guy. Weston's response? That torture doesn't work! Hmmm...

Would I have said that Obama is controlling out entertainment? No. Doesn't change how creepy it is.
