My buddy with an s13 has a redtop sr20det, pretty much stock with a boost controller, and exhaust raced an s2k. And he lost untill we hit about 100, then he started pulling, but the s2k had us by 4-5 cars. Now my buddy with the s13 was boosting abou 14 psi. There is no way a kade can keep up with a turbo sr. Also on the subject, last night i ran my car, and my buddy ran his s2k at a track. I turned a 14.8 at 99 mph, i could not hook up in first or second. My buddy with the s2k ran 13.9 once, and low 14's the rest of his runs. Maybe with some drag radial's ill be closer, but i wouldn't expect to beat an s2k. I dont think he was racing.

bp2ooo, you're running pretty quick. What mods do ya have? What would I expect to run in a Stock 95 Manual 240 @ 2800ft (lacr)

Thats is my car. Stock manual 240, in good condition should run high 15's. I dont suggest going all motor on this car, because pretty much high 14's is all i think i will ever see. stuff to be done to reach high 14's

Injen cai 270$Hks Hyper 500$Catco Cat 160$Nissan Motorsports Cams 500$Hotshot Headers 320$Jim Wolf Ecu 380$ (find one at a junk yard, dont send original)Unorthodox Racing Pulley Set 300$ or so, just came out. This stuff with a tuned motor, in good condition, you should see high 14's.

a friend and i raced a S2000.....in my friend's 96 eclipse gsx (lite mods, upped boost) we smoked him....couse that was downtown san francisco and we didn't get out of 2nd....and that's a all-wheel drive turbo eclipse(good driver)....but it remains the same we got the S2k off the line and it was a short race....i'd say we took him by about 4 cars before we hit the brakes.....the point here is: by you fellas saying you can do the same, you should then be neck and neck with a all-wheel drive turbo launch...not gonna happen.with a stock KA24DE i would not step to a S2K or a GSX....think about guys, maybe it did happen and you really do believe you took em. but chances are they weren't racing.

I think the BMW equivilant of the S2000 (M roadster) you would have a little bit of a harder time with, I should know my dad has an M roadster and he can kick my butt from here to the moon. Although it is supercharged now so that could be it. That car is a last to drive when i'm allowd. lol

The biggest complaint about the s2000's is that they launch terribly...they have so little torque and at such a high rpm, that say, you dropped the clutch at 4000 rpm, the thing would accelerate slow as hell until around 6-7k...they have the powerband of 2 stroke dirtbikes..good for open racing, but not good for tight circuits where torque is needed (think 4 stroke dirtbike) So, while I do think it rather strange that stock 240sx beat a s2000, I belive that if the s2000 driver was ahorrible driver (ie, didn't know how to launch it and to keep it up on its power,), then maybe the 240 could pull the s2000 (that is, up until about 35 mph
