Im just speculating hence the word 'probably'. Its hard to tell if its going to be a true performer or a friendly economy car that has major limitations and drawbacks. There wasnt even a hint of a Vtec motor.Razi wrote:Yes, lets make things up and facepalm at them.alms24sebring wrote:heavy, and probly will have a CVT trans.

Like the Cr-Z? I dont think everyone is as excited about hybrids as Honda thinks. Thats not saying it cant be cool, im just saying its very unlikely.alms24sebring wrote:Its hard to tell if its going to be a true performer or a friendly economy car that has major limitations and drawbacks. Exactly. It worked great for Audi with the R8 the built it as a flagship, then let little bits trickle down to the sedans, so people feel like they are driving part of a super car. When I hear the words electric motors, hybrids, giant batteries, and AWD, all i can think, is HEAVY. Which is what the NSX was always the opposite of.MinisterofDOOM wrote:It looks good...overall shape reminds me of the MP4-12C, which is VERY good.
But I don't like AWD, and I don't like the added weight and complexity of hybrids. Honda is missing the best option here: use the NSX as a way to make a profit on a very small (<4 liters) V8 powerplant they can put in an RL people might actually want to buy.
They think its the "Market Trend".Pento240sx wrote:Me don't like it. Why is it so freaking difficult to build a car that is not all futuristic looking and hybrid too.

I agree, though I still want some variety in with my familiarity.Jesda wrote:I'm okay with brand styling if it's good styling.
I agree it seems BMW has always been doing that. Like the same basic style of the grille seems its always been the same on couple of BMW's.FlatBlackIan wrote:You know, I have an observation. What is with the lets slap the same grill on every car we build fad that is currently plaguing the automotive world as of late?
I mean I know that BMW has always done that sort of thing, and that is ok, its their thing. But then Dodge started doing it with the Viper, and whatever. Now Audi and Acura have jumped on the bandwagon, and things are getting out of hand.
Does a car honestly need to be instantly distinguishable as a certain brand?

who knows, maybe it'll come storming out of the gate like the Porsche 918.Jesda wrote:And its going to be built in Ohio...if it gets built. [Not that the Marysville plant is a problem]
Honda's modern interpretations of past successes haven't been very good lately. CRZ is no CRX. The new Insight isn't fun and zippy like the old one. Even the Civic isn't as good as the Civic used to be.
I have low expectations and I'm doubtful that they're going to build it at all. Honda's management have said "NSX IS COMING!" a few times before.
