Looks kinda cool and if the production model even slightly resembles the concept, I think it may sell well with the higher end demographic.

And its going to be built in Ohio...if it gets built. [Not that the Marysville plant is a problem]

Honda's modern interpretations of past successes haven't been very good lately. CRZ is no CRX. The new Insight isn't fun and zippy like the old one. Even the Civic isn't as good as the Civic used to be.

I have low expectations and I'm doubtful that they're going to build it at all. Honda's management have said "NSX IS COMING!" a few times before. :(

Me don't like it. Why is it so freaking difficult to build a car that is not all futuristic looking and hybrid too.

Looks absolutly nothing like an NSX, is all electrical and heavy, and probly will have a CVT trans.

The rear is OK, but the front just seems to have too much going on at once.

Im just speculating hence the word 'probably'. Its hard to tell if its going to be a true performer or a friendly economy car that has major limitations and drawbacks. There wasnt even a hint of a Vtec motor.

It looks good...overall shape reminds me of the MP4-12C, which is VERY good.

But I don't like AWD, and I don't like the added weight and complexity of hybrids. Honda is missing the best option here: use the NSX as a way to make a profit on a very small (<4 liters) V8 powerplant they can put in an RL people might actually want to buy.

Like the Cr-Z? I dont think everyone is as excited about hybrids as Honda thinks. Thats not saying it cant be cool, im just saying its very unlikely.

Uh, i dont think honda makes an engine without V-tech anymore.

Exactly. It worked great for Audi with the R8 the built it as a flagship, then let little bits trickle down to the sedans, so people feel like they are driving part of a super car. When I hear the words electric motors, hybrids, giant batteries, and AWD, all i can think, is HEAVY. Which is what the NSX was always the opposite of.

You know, I have an observation. What is with the lets slap the same grill on every car we build fad that is currently plaguing the automotive world as of late?

I mean I know that BMW has always done that sort of thing, and that is ok, its their thing. But then Dodge started doing it with the Viper, and whatever. Now Audi and Acura have jumped on the bandwagon, and things are getting out of hand.

Does a car honestly need to be instantly distinguishable as a certain brand?

I'm okay with brand styling if it's good styling.

Unfortunately, with the current Acura lineup, they've spawned multiple breeds of ugly.

I agree, though I still want some variety in with my familiarity.
It worked for Nissan in the early 90s, though. Sentra was EXACTLY a mini-Maxima, and it was great looking. The Stanza, Silvia, Maxima, and a bunch of others had a very similar front end which was definitely not ugly.
It worked okay for Cadillac recently, too, with the CTS and STS looking similar, but with a very strong "wild kid/mature adult" variation on a theme going. Works great for Audi, too, where you'll see great variation on it...similar elements employed in distinct ways, like the A8's scowl vs the A6's eyeliner vs the R8's floating eyes.

But for early 2000s Nissan, or modern Acura, or Porsche, or Lexus, or Subaru, or Mitsubishi it really doesn't work at all.

I agree it seems BMW has always been doing that. Like the same basic style of the grille seems its always been the same on couple of BMW's.

who knows, maybe it'll come storming out of the gate like the Porsche 918.
