Its not the fact that you can or can't post your experiences with a company or person. You just need to do so in a professional manner. With proof of your dislikes. Everyone can complain about customer service and things of that nature, lord knows I do all the time. But if you have specific complaints about a certain product, coming on a forum that gets over 1 million hits a day and just spouting off at the mouth isn't going to get you anywhere, and will be deleted by me or any of the other mods who catch it. That statement is not directed at anyone either, so don't get all whiny.

But if you bought a shift knob for example, and the threads weren't even the same cut, then by all means, let us know, even if they are the highest paying sponsor NICO has, we can address the situation like adults and find a reasonable way to deal with it.

I ordered a Turbo from a large company 3 months ago, just today I called and cancelled the order and was charged a 20% restock fee do to company policy. There customer service was horrible at best and I was forced to find a new dealer for my turbo kits. So everyone has to deal with the same thing.

I talked with Cameron tonight, I'll be taking a trip to his shop this weekend. At which time I'll take a ton of pics and see what he's all about. If I go up there and find a shack in his back yard with a bunch of lawn mower parts, I'll be the first one to let everyone know. But if he has a decent setup and is doing his best to do his bussiness in a professional yet profitable manner, I'll post that as well.

Until such a time comes, just shut up about who says whatever. Take your pics and post away, but until I see somthing to actually complain about, its all going to be assumed as fiction. I love these boards just like we all do, we're a big family. There's no need for slingin mud around.

WDRacing,

Point well taken, which is why I try to stay out of things like this.

" a shack in his back yard with a bunch of lawn mower parts",

If that is what you find, you are probably not at Cameron's, you are probably at my house :)

SEE I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO TURN INTO THIS..... ALL MY INTENTIONS WERE TO GET PICTURES FROM ANYONE WHO HAS INSTALLED IT. I WANTED TO SEE IF I WAS DOING ANYTHING WRONG EVEN THOUGH THROUGH TALKING WITH THE MANUFACTURER I WAS DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT. I NEVER INTENDED THIS TO TURN INTO A CAMERON *****FEST, I HONESTLY DIDN'T CARE, I JUST KNWO EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES AND WANTED TO SEE IF I WAS MAKING ONE.

I HAVE PICTURES, I'M NOT POSTING THEM FOR OTHER REASONS AND THEY WILL NOT EVER BE APPEARING UNLESS SOMETHING HAPPENS. I WILL GLADLY FIND THE TIME TO SHARE THEM WITH CAMERON AS PROMISED BUT I DON'T WANT A PUBLIC DEBATE ABOUT IT ALL. I'M SORRY TO ANYONE WHO FEEL I HAVE WASTED EVERYONES TIME AND THIS BOARDS SPACE, I JUST WANT TO LET YOU ALL KNOW IT WAS NEVER MY INTENTION. I WILL BE PARTING WAYS WITH THIS BOARD FOR AWHILE BECAUSE I HAVE TWO NEW PROJECTS COMING UP: PROJECT SIL80 (S13 W/ SR20 AND S15 FACE) AND PROJECT DRAG RB20.

I going to say just one thing, Let try to give everyone a brake and try to keep everthing professional. Let the facts speek for them selves. As for who was first with the RB's we were not the first, However we had cars (RB power) in the maginzes before any one heard of the other claiming to be first and that is well documented... there room for all GOOD shop in the Nissan comunity

Cameron,

Please don't take this personal, but I don't like the fact that you knock McKinney's stuff.

Cameron, you ordered McKinney mounts from us a few weeks ago to send to one of your customers in Georgia. Please don't knock something that you have made orders for. I have sold the McKinney kits to you before and if you want to tell people they are yours or whatever, I don't care.

But, don't knock a companies product that is excellent and a company that is probably one of the most straightforward, reputable shops out there. McKinney has a stellar reputation and I am proud to be able to say that I am a friend of their shop.

Don't fight back about these facts....

I haven't seen Cameron knock McKinney's stuff in a very long time, and when he did, it was only about the price, not the quality. I also think both your comments here are both unprofessional and unsubstantiated. Cam made a number of enemies in the beginning by talking trash about people, which has stopped... don't do the same, it only makes you look childish as well.

I feel you're one of the biggest influences for popularizing the RB by showing people that it could be done relatively easily. When people ask me stuff about RBs, I always mention you as one of the main reasons why they're so popular now. As for being in RBs longer than McKinney, I'd have to disagree.

I don't care how long someone has been around. I look into how they are as far as customer service goes and what others have to say about their experiences buying from them. Also the quality of their products. It seems like someone who has poor quality products or doesn't invest the time to make the quality products is in the quick buck business.

I have Macks mounts and I don't know how they fit. But I can sleep well at night because of what I've read about the experiences with Macks mounts.

Fast-datsun - you're right about "there's room for all GOOD shops in the Nissan community."

I'm really starting to dislike you kid. Your crap has no place here or anywhere else. I'm not Cam's "partner in crime" for many reasons. One, there's no crime, just poor customer service, I'm not going to deny that. Two, I'm not a partner, I'm a web designer who happens to have become his friend in the process of working with him on his site. I believe the rules of the forums here state that you should not comment on vendors that you have no personal experiences with, yet it never seems to stop you. I know you don't like him, everyone knows, and you're entitled to your own opinion, but not necessarilly entitled the privelege to voice it here. So please... go spout your mouth off elsewhere unless you have something substantial to add to this discussion. Oh yeah, and my original comments weren't even directed towards you...tool.:rolleyes

I sent the kit to one of your customers in Georgia, not to you. I've never sent a kit to you. The customer was doing a RB25 swap and wanted McKinney mounts, so you sold them to him. I would have done the same thing being in business.

Don't lie about things, especially when you have a shop that has records of the transactions and the customers personal phone numbers.

:plighten up guys, business is business. Dont knock each other around, its unprofessional looking, I work around 4 tire stores, and people come to ME to buy things because I awlays do it right, and I dont hammer on the other shops, unless I have a very substantiated claim that is relevant to a customes inquiry, and even then I try and just say "I dont reccomend that.." and leave it as is.

anyways,my rants over. I will say Mckinne does have a great wrap, and I know the gentelman in GA you guys are referring to...-chet

I delete sponsors posts as well, when they cross the line and I have deleted at least one in this very thread. your post just ooozes ignorance about how our community works.

When I moderate PPL, its because they break netiquette. To suggest ulterior motives is deeply insulting to me.

I am a commissioned Army Officer and integrity is my watchword.

This time your antics have gone too far, my patience is at an end and I cant believe we tolerated you as long as we have.

Its a shame that good threads got poisoned this way, the original poster of this thread deserves better.

Very nice, so after I questioned you about sending the parts to GA, and you told me that they were going to a customer, that was lie. WOW! You are just amazing man. I even talked to Rodney Sims, "Mike", and he said he was just a customer doing the swap. So, he lied with you. It's amazing how low people will stoop for a little money.

Trying to "compare" a.k.a "copy." That is really low man, I think you should be ashamed.

Cameron,

There is something called integrity. That fact that you "compared" the mounts doesn't make me angry. You could have bought them from somebody else and looked at them. It's the fact that you lied to our shop. I don't understand how people on NICO can keep purchasing from someone who is unfit to run a reputable business. I would consider this an attack on your character.

I'm going to drop this where it's at. But, I hope that those out there following this post will look at the shops on NICO and decide for themselves where they want their money to be spent. You're not just buying a product, you are supporting that business as well.

Keep in mind, if people such as Cameron will lie to us, they will lie to their customers as well.

I do not wish to appear as a partisan but I do wish to make this comment before things get spun again:

Businesses buy competitors products all the time and generally do not disclose who they are, simply out of tact if nothing else.

It seems to me, everyone has made their points in this thread and I am closing it.Besides I need to go to bed and cant stay up longer to monitor.

And I wish both Chris and Cameron success with their businesses, and wouldn't hesitate to buy from either, if I was looking at RB.

Fred...:pface
