Yo nico!

So from my last post you guys saw that I finished my build - was rocking it all summer - and very happy with how it turned out.

But winter is here - i have all the necessary stuffs and instead of getting another project car - it is time for a TURBO!!!!!!

Before that can happen I want to sell my setup to someone on here. I am not sure what everyones financial and time capabilities are, but I will throw out what I am thinking.

Entire setup - supercharger, manifold, throttle body, injectors, pump, MAF, intercooler, etc, etc. Everything but the exhaust (need it to modify for downpipes etc.) INSTALLED by me (including the modification to the bumper.) All for 6k. If someone is down, I will negotiate out some gauges or any further mods wanted.

A few folks have PM'd me wanting to try and piece together a similar setup to mine - and I explained the heartache lol - now would be the time.

Obviously to get it installed you'd have to be local - or willing to ship the car - this will only fit a VQ35 M. Location is Charlotte, NC.

Mods - don't yell at me, there is no point to post this on the FS forum.

By having this kit - you'll be the only one in the world with it - the only one in the USA with a supercharged M - and one of two (after those damn Japanese) in the world with a supercharged M.

Anyhow - just curious if anyone was interested... If not, I'll get some Z charge piping done up and sell just the S/C kit on my350 (for 6.)

Don't worry about the FS forum...I allow people to post in here because our cars are technically rare...not many folks are modding them. We get far more hits for FS stuff for our cars in here.

Please list your location for other members though.

OH my, my 06 M35X is now outside weeping with envy!! I so wish! But I just bought it and have to sell my 330xi and even having done that, I'd be driving my Ranger 2WD pickup in upstate NY in winter, so, I guess not!
Not ready for bachelorhood!!

Please tell me there's no point in doing this to an automatic transmission M35X! Or to an unlowered car. We get SNOW here.
But darn you, I am having twitching issues now!

Mine is an automatic M35x... all the point in the world... even better with our AWD system - launches like a GTR... Our transmissions can easily hold 500.

NOT what I wanted to hear. Wait till I run this by my spouse! I am supposed to behave like a sedate older gentleman (67) not a hot-rodder!

Sir - the fact that you will consider yourself behaving like a hot-rodder is incredibly dope. I want you to have this supercharger now.

Like the man said, what is your location? I am actually seriously considering this. I would need to do an exhaust mod, no? I mean my car is stock, unless you count window deflectors and little Infiniti valve stem caps.

Fat3oy!! You are killing me homey :gapteeth:

More than ever, I wish you stayed in Cali (O-side).... :yesnod

I'd be driving down to your shop every weekend!!! anyway, good luck with the sale of the SC..... I know how potent the SC's are with our VQ engines... a buddy of mine has one in his 'track built' G35......DOPE!

And that would be a reason for the strut bar!! Ayayayaye! I could probably afford this, but just can't imagine how I'd get the spousal OK.

I added it to the OP - Charlotte, NC. You can get away with a stock exhaust if you wish. I would recommend test pipes or high flow cats. But the power curve of a supercharger is super safe and will not require extraordinary flow. Unless you want to rapidly accelerate while already doing 80mph - then you will need some free flow. But who - other than me - does that? Lol.

Hell yeah - Cali would be killer - IDK if i could afford the tickets tho! Yeah I am really happy with the feel of the SC. Was more than I expected - If I had a VK, my turbo build wouldnt need so much... finesse...

Let's see - 11 hours driving from upstate NY, leading my wife in her X3. 11 hours back in the X3. The a few weeks - or longer - do the opposite. Meanwhile I drive the bimmer. Not economically sensible, but I am losing my rational abilities quickly!

or just drive down in your M, together....have a small vacation, then fly or take a train back to NY... when the M is ready, take a flight back by yourself to pick up your car.....THEN enjoy the ride back to NY in your SC'd M!!!!!!!!!! by yourself

How long would you need the car? (Note: this is a question anyone might ask.)

Well at least the drive back in the M would be quicker...

Spouse Mission:

1. Find local Ferrari Dealer - that has used Ferraris
2. Find a Ferrari F355 - any version
3. Take spouse on test drive
4. Find quiet road - peddle to the floor - show spouse the awesomeness.
5. Show Spouse the price tag
6. Explain that the Supercharged VQ on the M has nearly identical torque and power curves - not to mention has all wheel drive
7. Point out how small and uncomfortable the F355 is - and how much luxury your current car affords
8. Show the incredibly cheaper option of a NC trip
9. Be dope hot rodder.
10. Give turbo'd Honda kids in the neighborhood the finger as you walk them in style

Depending on the options you choose a good two weeks - would have to arrange tuning so it would need to be scheduled accordingly.

67, not retired yet.
Miles to nearest Infiniti dealer = 47.
I still own my tools and have a 2 bay garage.
Do I need speed, power?
Have I lost my mind?
Or will I?

67 - awesome time to be rebellious and hot rod
Infiniti dealer is moot - they will not know what to do with themselves. Any tuner shop can help.
No one needs speed and power. Fun on the other hand...
Haven't lost your mind - yet

What about the tuning? If you buy - have to get uprev - and can bring it to my tuner... but that is a detail down the road that we have to figure out...

also, SO RUDE TO ASK QUARTER MILES TIMES!!!! just kidding - I havent QM since last tune (which is more precise) but before that low 13.
