No dyno graphs or 1/4 mile slips... I say it's all hype and photoshop magic. Jk you should get both of those up so we can see what it can do!

Ohhhhh Fatboy, you need to relocate once again to sunny florida. No state tax on income, always sunny, nice in the winter, roads are perfect, no emissions restrictions, and by the way your not the only one with open exhaust. Test pipes, straight flow 2.5 piping into free flowing mags.
AHhhh the madness that could be built between fatboy and myself in Florida, one can only dream.
If i had the 6k I would pick it up.

you running straight through NA? I feel bad for your neighbors and gas mileage. You have headers too?

I like florida - but only Miami during Ultra... I do like sporting foot flops and no shirt everywhere I go though.

supercharge with VIP is a winning combo! Very japanese. you should do it. Sell your wheels and buy two of my setups - you can skip the wine bar table and curtains until next year.

Sorry to resurrect such an old thread. Is anybody doing these mods anymore or is there a better solution?

Superchargers are less common but can be done somewhat "easily". You can also get stuff from the 350Z crowd and have it put on the M35 because they use the same engine and M35's have a whole lot of extra engine bay space. Supers are probably a bit easier to install though as you dont need quite as much modification A supercharger like this is also doable on stock trans, and you could maybe run it on stock engine internals too if you are careful. Still have to replace injectors and such, but I mean you could probably get away with keeping the stock A-Beam rods. Those are the weakest point in the engine. From what I remember they max out around 400whp. A small turbo can also be done with the stock rods. Though since you would be spending $5-7k on this type of setup, it isnt THAT much more to just pull the engine out and have H-Beams put in. But at that point with the engine out, it makes going for a turbo setup just as easy as a super would be.

Damn, what did a 32psi turbo cost you for the total setup including parts and labor? Did you have it dyno'd? Sorry, haven't been on the forums for about 5 years.

I bought the engine and turbo setup from a guy in the 350Z forums who already had the engine built the nearly the exact specs I had already wanted. Parts cost alone if I did it all from scratch would have been about $15000, but I paid $7000 for the whole setup shipped. Though the transmission alone cost another $7000 after engine and turbo was bought. And another $2000 to get it all installed and retuned. It makes a little under 850whp.

Eventually I want to take the intake manifold from the VR38DETT and move to a twin throttle body setup and stick a second 32psi turbo on it. though honestly that is probably even more of a waste of money that the other stuff. lol. I dont drive the caer much, only a couple days a month because gas mileage is attrocious, and gas prices keep going up, and reliability is somewhat bad. Better to go with a small setup like this supercharger one the OP did.

Your setup seemed like a monster. A 32psi turbo would need a lot of heavy duty support systems to put that much power to the ground reliably. Sounds like a fun car to drive. The nice police officer would take away my license and put it through a shredder for sure.
