You guys need to understand that Clubsi's Si vs All is mainly made up of cars other than hondas. The reason that Altiman's wasnt welcomed with open arms was due to the way that he presented himself.

Coming in and stating that I know what I am talking about because I have taken part in discussions on other car forums is not the best way to get welcomed. He would have been perfectly welcome if he had lurked in the shadows for a few posts instead of coming out and trying to prove he knows his ****.

Any of you who want to be part of intelligent conversation on Clubsi are welcome to post. If not, please refrain from making asses of yourselfs.

Here is one of the si members himself^. Of course by saying not making an *** of ourselves do you mean bashing cars directly and flaming new members? You won't see that here on NICO. We have a good moderation team and web support. That would be the reason why we have 22k members and growing and more sponsors than you'd ever need. Try that one on for size. Just because I have 6 posts on that site does not make me any less knowledgable about how things work.

1) They like to call drifting a "stigma" because it's something they can't do and don't want anything to do with it. They're FWD, and frustrated.

With that said, back in the ricer days, civics were an accepted "tuner" car by the general public and were the most popular ride to mod. People were seeking the look from the movies and basically becoming ricers. I've been seeing the import scene generally start to lean towards performance more. Most enthusiasts find civics laughable now with the exception of the ones that can go fast. Of course show cars will always be around and there are people who aren't interested in performance.

Now that drifting has become mainstream and growing, the 240sx steps into the spotlight as the most desired and eligible "tuner car". For low budget enthusiasts, the 240sx is now at the top of the list. Those negative responses from the civic owners is only their resentment to use stealing their spotlight.

Now they're left behind feeling raped and lonely. RIP

Yeah, the 240 is so mainstream now, thats why no one like it over there. Jealousy. The benefit of being "mainstream" means you get to pay $3000 for a tite dorifto monsta with a blown motor a 250,000 miles on it. The car is "popular" because drifting became popular with mag racers. When drifting dies, so will the popularity.

And for a car "at the top of the list", they are in pathetically few racing series, and have yet to even have their own. Honda Challenge? Spec7? Spec miata? Where's my Spec DorfitoMast3R-Challenge for the 240?

Turf wars on the Internet? Bahahahahahahah!

Thankfully the Lexus owners club has yet to incite a rivalry with NICO's Infiniti General.

Well for those who went over there, they probably need to stay. There is no use for me to be on a SI board and no need for you to be here (since you aren't contributing anything useful). "Mine is bigger, I win".

Are you really that dense? How many more times do we have to tell you people that Si vs All consists mostly of cars that AREN'T Civics? Hmm....none of Si vs All's moderators drive Civics, but I do see a Mustang GT, an aircooled Beetle, and a 240Z. Oh yeah, and the said Mustang GT moderator previously owned a SR20DET-swapped S13.

I challenge all of you to go read through the post on SvA and read signatures. Tell me how many Civics you see.

I wasnt going to say anything, but check any mag that covers club racing and you will see that a s13 240sx won the SCCA national championship in the GT3 class last year. And there are two classes for 240sx's in the national SE-R cup. 240's have been popular in racing since they came out.

$3000 for a trashed car? I dont think so. I got mine in mint condish for $2400, and plenty of people get theirs in working order for less that $1000.

I think it was pointless and counter-productive for both forums for some of our members to go over there and start crap, but its no reason for you to act the same.

Now lets get back to planning the dance off.

I'm practically a spitting image of Owen Wilson...I'll dance like I've never danced before you chumps you! After the dance off, we can have a cook off...I just got a wok! I'll even use my wok in the rumble that will inevitably happen.

LOL! Good one! The GT3 240SX's are tubeframe cars with custom suspensions front and rear, only resembling the street ones with that turd of an engine they have under the hood (KA24E). Hey, I hear a Chevy Monte Carlo won at Talledega last year.

It's great to see that you all think we have Civics, no matter how much people think otherwise. Let me post some pictures of my current and past Civics so that you can see just how mad tite they are.

Here's my 1993 Honda Civic SE:

Viscous LSD? Check. No Super-HICAS? Check.

Just your average B16A2:

After I sold that heap, I picked up a 1989 Civic, base model. Soon after, that D16 let go so I replaced it:

Don't need no steenkin' MPH ring in Canada

Civic dodging cones:

I had big reliability problems with that car so I sold it and bought my current 1995 Civic GTS (GTS = no wing, V6 interior, GT everything else -- only weighs 3050lbs stock)

For all of those who were taken in by us Civic owners, remember to read the signatures next time because, many times (especially on car forums) they inform you as to what people drive.

She didn't have pics, it was blue, 6spd, probably low miles. She didn't have payments.. It was an 03, maybe 04 she got late last year early this year after he got a new car (long story), last November. My guess is miles were low, the question is how much are they gonna ask for it??

Well, i own a civic and a 240 and I enjoy both cars. I enjoy my 240 because it is faster than my DX civic and it didn't cost me much. Whats wrong with enjoying a cheap car that is fun. I don't really care if a largely modded civic can take me down (most largely modded civics can take down my stock 240, but who really cares?)Honestly however I do feel that this particular honda board is a little strengent on owners of other cars. However, does any one remember a blue Si wanting to recruit car club members a while ago? It was somewhat show, but in my opinion it wasn't too bad.

And it is true, not all 240 owners drift. So then your arguement that all civic owners want to drift is somewhat incorrect in that statement, lots of them might want too (i never have) but its probably more "honda is a good car, that is why a bought one" kind of arguements they have.

They all do seem somewhat mean to new members (does nico do newbie bashing to .5% of their new members? I do not beleive so. I beleive NICO's main reason for "bucking" at that thread is because their main arguement is that 240's suck, because they are popular and people want to drift. So learn a lesson and keep to forums who won't be rude to you for driving a car you like, its really not worth it to care...

okay great...if you look im really only mad because they think over there that everyone that has a 240 is a drifter, its not true. i just made a post over there about it. great that you dont drive civics, but as you just showed yourself not everyone that drives a 240 drifts.

The thing is that no one specifically attacked drifting or 240SX's at all. There was an offhand comment made by someone who said that "SvA hates [the 240SX] because of the drift stigma." In reality I don't think you'll find anyone there who actually hates the car.

But it sure did make for amusement anyways

Actually, no, not everyone thinks that. There are more people who post in that forum who own 240SX's and do not drift than those that do.

well so what if someone does drift their car is what I'm saying. They pay for hte car, they mod the car with their own money. They can do what they want with the car without having people attack what they do. I'm sure many people can argue about drag racing saying its not any fun, no point, etc, etc, just liek they do for drifting a car. BUt the fact remains that person put their time and their money into that car to do what they want with it. Eitherway, drifting is a motorsport. It's here to stay so get used to it.

What a coincidence! Reading your post with its atrocious grammar and spelling made me sick as well. I would hate to see what happens if you ever tried stringing two or more sentences together.

edit: Congratulations, your screen name broke this instance of quoting.
