Very true, that all day event is at Englishtown? I might wanna check that out, not with my car unfortunately. I ended up putting my stock rear struts in and their not in that great shape either, getting a clunking from the rear now.

I'm not even sure when I'll be able to get my car in decent shape, I have priority issues and for some reason a 40-42" Plasma TV and a semi-decent computer seems more important than AGX's all around lol. IDK if I'll even be running anything this year, I wanna at least get my sub frame bushings, RUCA's, poly bushings, front and rear pillow ball top mounts with camber adjustment in the front (for the struts) and of course the AGX's all around. I figure that's roughly $1,000 of parts, prolly a tad over. If I got all that and then some done by December I'll be happy. Whats the big difference between a 1.5 and 2 way? How fast it locks up?

Yeah. The July 12th event is at Englishtown. Only group A/B people can drive though. Apparently, I'm all cool now since I'm in B group... . But it'll be fun to hang out. The Club Loose events are always fun. Last time, they put a baby carriage on the course in place of a cone to discourage people from hitting that cone. And of course, someone hit it. Good times. Free NOS energy drinks too.

Steve, I might be getting some "sponsorship" with a parts warehouse soon. They're going to give me basic maintenance stuff like ignition, brakes, clutch, etc., and they might give me AGX shocks too. Since I already got coilovers, I was just going to sell the shocks. I can give them to you for cheap. Anyway, I'll let you know if I get them, and then we can work something out.

lol. Plasma TV? Nice. Nothing wrong with having a few luxuries.

2-way locks equally aggressively on acceleration and deceleration. 1.5-way locks less aggressively on deceleration, so it helps the car turn on entry a little better since the rear wheels aren't 100% locked together. But my car is already pretty loose on high speed entries, so I figure the 2-way would help make it a little more stable. If it understeers too much, I can adjust for it with sway bars and shocks.

TJ, were you talking about Anthony (Structure240sx) who was selling the KA on IFX or someone else?

Haha. I'll let you know what I don't need if I get the sponsorship. Do the 5-speed swap already. What else do you need? Just the flywheel bolts?

That's what I figured with the LSD, how much and under what circumstances it locks. But I would be forever in debted to you if you hooked me up with those AGX's, cheapest I found online was I think from frsport, $500 all around. Not bad considering the price I got from one of my parts stores, on GR-2's were a little over $100 each.

I remeber we were talkin to that long haired guy when I was at that Club Loose event, he seems cool, just a little quirky lol. I still can't belive these kids are drifting their 350s, I'd gladly take it off their hands and give it a good home.

That's what I like to hear... lol. Hopefully I can get them. I'll let you know.

Yeah. I feel bad for that 350Z. The bumper was already cracked before the baby carriage. But It's cool to see people really push their cars and not be afraid of small obstacles.

I don't think I can do it. I'm going to get the old engine out today and then probably go with Dat to pick up his engine hoist from Carlos' place so we can get his engine back to the garage. A TV would be nice. Damn. But should be at Edgewater next week.

Took out the old and put in the new engine. Took almost a minute of cranking to get it to start the first time, but ran well once it started. It sounds pretty badass with no exhaust . Anyway, trans is still not on because I need a new flywheel, clutch kit, and shifter boot (it's leaking).

Have fun at Edgewater people. I won't make it this time, but will be there next week.

I threw out that paper miro, but I see you got your engine, did you do anything before you dropped it in?

No, I didn't do anything to it. I just made sure I could rotate the crank, switched some parts over from the old engine, and dropped it in. The kid I got it from seemed pretty trustworthy so I wasn't expecting any problems.

I would really like to clean everything up and do it properly, but I need this thing to be ready for next Saturday. And I still need to do the clutch, break it in, install LSD, break that in, get a bunch of tires mounted, and make sure everything is good with the engine. It would be awesome if I had a 240 project and another 240 for dd and drifting/racing when the project car is dead, but oh well. I'd rather get more track action than have a super clean car.

So if anyone wants to give me a reason to go for a long drive next week, let me know. I need to drive around a lot to break in the clutch and make sure the engine's good.

Boo. But you have all the parts at least?

I got my car back together on Sunday. Sorry Steve, couldn't make it out to Englishtown this weekend. The LSD is getting delivered tomorrow along with a brand new set of tires for Saturday. To break in the LSD, you're supposed to drive in a figure 8 for half an hour and then change fluid. So I'm wondering where can I do this without attracting attention?

Yea i have like all the parts all i need is the sensors from alex and a 70mm m10 x 1.5 bolt i went to lowes they didnt have anything so on tuesday im prolly gunna go searching. I need some transmission fluid can u believe both places i went to only had ATF wtf no love for the manual transmission i guess.

im kinda ticked off that i had to order a spring and ball to go into the transmission and the fact that i paid 11.50 for the transmission gasket when i could have just used RTV Plus i needed control housing bolts so i went to nissan and apparently they ordered me the wrong ****ing ones so i ordered about 20 worth on coutesyparts that place is awesome for cheap partsNow all i need to know is do i need a manual trans mount or can i reuse the auto one an one question would it be possible if i bring all the stuff to your garage miro and do it. Since im just assuming you have almost all the tools needed and i have like none

Haha. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the break-in procedure...

I just had the OEM flywheel resurfaced... blah... didn't get to do any upgrades because of the time constraints. Which clutch did you end up going with?

There's an 11 lb. JUN flywheel (slightly used) for sale on the NICO classified for like $250 ish if you're interested, pretty good deal.

zerothread/334290

You should probably get a new clutch fork pivot... have heard of the stock piece snapping if used with stiff pressure plate:

due to lack of funds and me not wanting to wait any longer im goin with the nismo R tune clutch kit

and i read that about the ball im gonna get the nismo pivot ball

and since im not spending that much im getting the nismo rubber shift nob so i stop punching my radio goin into 3rd

the reason i asked about the flywheel is cuz none of my parts store my shop deals with can get one so im gonna send mine out as well i just hope its still good

and i wanna do the rear main seal when im in there and anything else i see i just hope the nismo is strong enough
