This post shifter-stuck-in-park-t490225.html#p5564296 clued me in on my issue with the shifter. Passenger side tail light was damadged back in November 2014 and while decding what to do with the car, I keep driving it. I slapped a red semi transparant tape over it for now and about three weeks ago one morning I cound not shif out of park so I used and continue using a scredriver method. Few days ago I realized my tail lights were out so I replaced the passender side bulb which was blackened, and the new bulb it didnt work either. Found out the fuse was burned. I replaced the fuse but as soon as I turned on the tail lights the fues would immediatelly burn. I suspect with having an unusually wet spring, would water get into the socket and cause a short? Any other ideas? Thanks!

Welcome to Nico!

Any water inside a socket when power is applied will most likely cause a short immediately.
