long shot in the dark, but maybe injectors??

You know it's funny you say that b/c about 2 months ago the car ran like crap. It was missing and just terrible engine performance. Tested it all and nothing. Then a buddy of mine suggested the same thing so I replace the the injector that corresponded to the dead cylinder and it worked. It still did not have the pep that it should but it ran. I completely forgot about that. I am going to buy a new set of injectors while I am at it. Thanks for the reminder.

You know you coulda just pulled the harness to that specific injector on the dead cyl, instead of taking a stab in the dark and replacing the injector. Called a power balance test.

Same thing can be accomplished with distributor, coil packs and COP set-ups. I HIGHLY recommend using a spark plug boot puller to yank the wires (on the distributor or from the plug directly, whatever floats your boat) unless you want a nice little eye opener.

Of course that only really works with dead or very weak cylinders. But it'll help ya diagnose the problem.
