Yea so we were getting ready to finally crank my car today. Filled it with liquids and pulled the coil plug and fuel pump fuse. Spun the motor over for a few seconds, oil pressure gauges has no movement. Spin the motor over a few more times, still no movement from the oil pressure gauge. Maybe its just wired up wrong some how? Open the oil cap, no oil on cams, hmm thats weird. Pull the oil feed line off the turbo, bone dry, wtf? Now we are just wondering whats up. Pull the oil filter off, not a damn drop of oil. ****.

Check out the oil pan, make sure it wasnt smashed for any reason where the pickup resides. No damage at all. Time to pull the oil pan off and make sure everythings there and no apparent stops in it. Everything *seems* to be fine. Take the front covers off and peep the oil pump. Brand new, nothing out of place that we can see, not sure what to think. We take off the oil filter adapter, check for clogs with an air hose, flow through the passages is fine. There is nothing, anywhere that seems to be clogged.

The mechanics of the oil pump and all this is so simple it seems there is absolutely no visible reason we can't even get oil into the filter. Now the question is, does anyone else have any crazy ideas? We have looked over all we could think of, nothing seems out of place.

on the front cover, there is a o-ring-like gasket(usually orange, round), it goes on pass side(intake side), is it still there? i believe that helps build oil pressure, there's also a 0-ring for the pick up tube, that also causes oil pressure loss(as far as i know at least), i'd check for those.

check the FSM(factory service manual) for engine lubrication and cooling.(if you don't have an FSM, i may...be able to provide ya 1)
