I've had many people ask me questions about my old 240sx, both young and old. I enjoyed the attention. And if kids asked I drifted it in parking lots or made an SR swap, I'd happily say "no" and "no". The next question was almost always if I was going to sell it anytime soon or covert it into an ITA racer. I don't know about you, but I think that's flattering.
And when that exact same 240 was in the Cadillac detail shop yesterday getting purty it got many compliments on it's condition and how well kept it was. These are the same guys that detail $60k vehicles on a daily basis. I told them it runs as good as it looks and when I told them what I paid for it, they just couldn't believe it.
They did ask me if it was fast, and I said it wasn't really fast yet. "Yet?" was the response I got and I said that is correct. I asked them if they had ever seen the Jim Carrey movie, "The Mask". They did, and I said "Remember the little dog when he put on the mask? Well this car is going to put on the mask."
They thought that was cool even though they really didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Hehe. It's good to be a gangsta...:ylsuper
