Hey guys, i read that whole thread and i just want to know if anyone is running NISTUNE on a VE30de ecu (92-94 nissan maxima se). Its direct plug in for the rb25 and i figure this would be the best idea! Let me know!

if one was smart they'd throw on a z32 maf at the same time when converting to a z32 ecu as its already setup for it.when you get down to it the late model z32 ecu uses the same injectors as the rb25 so lagtime and the 'k' constant will be set up properly.onlything i dont like about the z32 ecu and it doesnt matter when you get down to it is that it has different scaling for boost for the timing and fuel maps...i guess its because nissan figured you'd be cranking the boost up.

How is the 'factory' map going to work when you have redefined the load points (N01-N20) and recalibrated the airflow curve of the MAF????

I researched a long time ago about using the rb25 pfc on the ve30de. I'm sure I found differences in the pinout, I'll have a ve schematic up in a few

Thanks man! Ill have to compair it to the RB pinout... its weird cuz on that link i posted earlier they were saying that there were no pin changes... This is so confusing there is so much miss information out there! Someone (or I) should make a thread about what conversion works for RB to Z32 or J30 ecu and get it stickied so when it comes up again all the right info is right there!

So has anyone really ran a VE30de ecu on thier RB and what if any pins did you have to change?

Oh and side note the 92-94 J30 VE30de ecu's will be the same so that diagram will work!

What do you mean? Mine is that way right now and the car likes to die or stall out if you get into boost and suddenly push the clutch it because its not getting that little shot of air in there to stop it for flooding out. I am going to reserc mine when i put the topmount setup on... would rather have it not turn off when driving it then have the sound!

Thanks for the contact info.

Stick to twin turbo ecu's before 95. The Z32 TT before 95 were 8 bit. 95 was 16 and 96 was obd2!

The NA Z32 ecu's switched to 16 bit earlier. Maybe 93-94.

I had a 91 Z32 2+2, it was 8 bit, and I had a 94 Z32 TT, it was 8 bit. My buddy has a 95 Z32 TT and its 16 bit and it gives him fits.

I have a ve30de maxima ecu with a type 3 board installed. I just got it about a week and a half ago. Im waiting on my wideband unit to come in so i can play around with it some more. I have to work on my wide open throttle tuning. The software looks great.
