Imperial vs. US gallons?

Search youtube or similar places to find a copy of an ad that states 50mpg and you are set. Without ad in hand it's doubtful you will get very far.luba atamanenko wrote:ALL last summer the advertising on TV paid for by Nissan Canada ab nauseum stated very clearly for all to see and hear that the Nissan Versa made 50 miles to a gallon. Even the Service Manager at Oakwood Nissan here in Saskatoon admitted seeing it all last year.
I have had action on my letters to Nissan Canada and will report on this shortly. Very interesting results when you are proactive.
Chris.m wrote:If you do the math you figure out that it is imperial MPG (US mpg is 37 for 6.3l/100km)

Hmm I can't belive I missed it??Rev_D21 wrote:300ZXttZMAN wrote:Time out!
OP since your in Canada I am wondering if your saying MPG but actually meaning to say KMPG? (Killometers per gallon)
50 KMPG = 31.1 MPG
^ Much more reasonable..
I said that several posts up.
Link or video? Are you calling the Engineer at the factory in Ontario and the dealership here liars? I'm taking my car out for a long run and will report what I get.asoomal wrote:You're not REALLY getting 52mpg...
No, you. But suspicious is the term I would use. For example, What did the "engineer" use to calculate the average gas mileage and how far did he travel to determine it?luba atamanenko wrote:Are you calling the Engineer at the factory in Ontario and the dealership here liars? The only way to figure this out for myself is to go buy a Pontiac G6 GXP for MinisterOfDoom.
