well, as for the skyline being its own line, thats semi-true, but i dont think your friend knows it. Prince ownen the Skyline long before nissan did. infact, the skyline was like a Chevy Bel Air, till they came out with the GT-R. Then when nissan bought Prince, it was kind of its own line working inside nissan, same as Datsun. but im sure your friend didnt know this.

This sounds like the kid that tryed telling me Corvettes arnt made by Chevy. According to him Chevy has nothing to do with Corvettes other than they have some sort of deal to sell that at Chevy dealers. He even went as far to tell me that he OWNS 4 Corvettes and none of them say Chevy anywhere.

BTW this happend on a night that i happend to be riding in my buddys new 03 Chevy Z06 coupe. 6sp RED as hell itself WITH a chevy bowtie on the on the rear window

I dunno if this is true either but my uncle from Japan said that the current skyline in Japan didnt sell very well so in the future wen the skyline comes out it will just be called the GT-R. They r gonna throw away the skyline name, at least w/ the GT-R models.

they just split it into two supposedly distinct cars for the future. Kind of like how the Supra used to be the Celica-Supra. They can keep that butt-ugly concept R they are showing, ship them all to France.

I've never seen any link between the Celica and the Supra... other than they are both coupes and somewhat round in shape... hmmm... Anyway, even if they are sold at separate dealerships, the fact that the Skyline has Nissan badging on it means it is a Nissan Skyline, not just a Skyline... that's the logic I see... -See the big Nissan badge in the middle of the trunk? D*** I want one...

The Supra evolved from an upscale trim package on the Celica.

Okay, that's better. I was really hoping that the Supra wasn't just a Celica on hyper-crack.

I'm not sure if the Supra package had better suspension and engine or if it was just fruity sticker package back in the day. The Supra stepped out as a seperate model in the 80's

it had a different engine and suspension, as well as interior and the big SUPRA on the back.
