The track-ready Nissan 370Z NISMO RC is based on the street legal Z-car, but is significantly lighter and fitted with a FIA-compliant roll cage, fire extinguisher, racing seat and numerous NISMO performance upgrades.

Unfortunately, with all the modifications they made to the interior they kept that God Awful combi-meter. I'm sure it would have taken loads of work to put something else in there and it really dose serve it's function well, but...it's hideous.

Does it need race gas

The Nismo 370Z that you can pick up at a dealership puts out 350HP/276TQ. This race bred beastie isn't on race gas since it's only 5 more hp, just some intake,exhaust & ecu tweaks.

But it is, or was, on a diet given that it's under 3000 lbs.

Does it need race gas

If it takes "race gas" that means it's got a massively bumped compression, which also mean the motor will last for 20-30 hours max (like a real race motor does). It will also mean your gas will be 10+ dollars a gallon.

This isn't really a "race prepped" 370 as there isnt a "race" you're going to compete with this in. This is more like a GT3RS to a regular GT3. It's a nifty idea from Nissan and I think it's a step in the right direction.
