Hey all, curious if any of you have attempted to DIY change the lowbeam bulb on your headlight on the 2015 Rogue SL? Unfortunately you cannot change the bulb without removing the entire headlight assembly which is insane. However even after I removed the headlight assembly I cannot figure out how to get to the bulb. I have not been able to find any videos showing me how to do this. Please help!!

Did yours came with LEDs from factory or Halogens? If the latter, its easy and simple and no need to remove the assembly. If its the former, you need to replace the entire assembly from my understanding.

Yep, he probably has LED's. If so, I did a How-To for deleting them and replacing with cheaper halogen assemblies. Tedious but not too complicated.

Thanks all. That is right I have the Led not halogen. Ughh I cannot believe it will cost $1100 to replace the entire thing. So stupid for them to do that. Thanks for the diy tutorial to switch to halogen. I will check it out but may opt to buy new headlight since im not too much of a handyman. Thanks again

Actually, I have a follow up question. Can I buy a halogen headlight assembly replacement since that may be cheaper and replace it or will it not fit because perhaps the led headlight housing is a different size?

No, the housings are the same size mechanically, it's just the connections that differ. That's what the How-To was for, you need to rearrange the LED wiring to match the cheaper halogen assemblies.

LED conversions from Halogens are pretty cheap too (just look for a reliable company). I did it on my former 16 Rogue SL with a kit from Precision LEDs, and probably will do on my parent's 19 Rogue SV (if they decide to keep the POS).

I have the same issue. The Nissan parts guy said the entire assembly has to be replaced.

Yes, there's no "bulb" in the LED low beams. Cut one open and there's a gigantic aluminum heat sink and a fairly sophisticated circuit board, it's all unitized. However, halogen housings are a dime a dozen and there's nothing to prevent you from adding a good set of LED H11's to a set of halogen housings. You just need to follow the how-to and rearrange the wiring:
