After seeing them on the diamond graphite colored car I'm not a big fan of the clear tails. They look nice on the lighter cars when the tails have the black housing but look ricer otherwise. Now the black cars look fine with the clear fuga housing. This is just my opinion

agree the clear ones look a little washed out--imo too...I would prolly only get the black/smoked out ones if available for the 06-07

Well, I called the parts department from mynismo.com and talked to Kenny for about a half an hour, I explained to Kenny what everybody here seems to be under the impression/know for a fact, that 06/07 tail lights are not the same asthe 08+. He swears by his life that they're interchangeable, he even went as far as saying that a customer with an 07 M bought them and got them put on at their dealership and there was no problem and that the owner of the same Infiniti stealership that sells them, drives an 09 M and got them put on his car with no problem, Kenny is basically saying that they're the same all across the board and I was arguing with him that they're not. Then I noticed how much of a tool he was when he told me to look at the pictures and notice how they look identical, he ultimately told me to call back on monday and talk to Eddie since he's the guy who actually handles orders. After we hung up I called him back and I told him to get on his computer and look up the part number for USDM tails for an 06 and one for an 08 he told me that his computer was down but stated that the parts numbers would indeed be different since the reverse lights part of the tails, which are on the truck are a "little different" but his computer was down anyways and he couldnt check for sure. I asked him if he had any in stock and to go check for me if reverse lights were round or rectangular, he put me on hold for a couple of minutes and came back and said there's none in stock, so when anybody orders it's going to take about 2 or less to get them to your house. Pause. At that pause I stopped writing because he called me back (I had left my info) and apologized and said he was sorry for the misunderstanding but that I was right and told me that he was fixing that on the website as we were speaking. So for the guys with 08+ Y50 you can get the Fuga tails from them in either black or clear housing for sure. Kenny is going to have Eddie call me on monday when he gets in because there may be a price difference between the two and also to let me know if the black housing is available for the 06/07.

Also fyi we are a Nissan Dealership and not Infiniti, therefore my computer doesnt have the Infiniti software.Thats why I wasnt able to check Infiniti part#s and not that my computer was down. As for the customer that had installed them previously. I was told it was a 07 model however as I now see they may very well have been a 08.

Hey Kenny, thanks for joining NICO maybe now you could get us better prices on the Fuga tails by becoming a forum vendor and doing a group buy or something and I was under the impression you were an Infiniti dealer because you said the customer had an 07 M and then you said your boss had the 09 M, oh well same difference, nonetheless, thanks for all your help today!!!

Kenny from my nismo.com just called me back to give me the final update... The 06 and 07 models Fuga tails only come with the clear housing and they're going to be $729 plus shipping. I asked him if they could do a better price and he said that's the cheapest they could do since they're almost paying the same to get them in. Finally, he also told he he was working on the website to reflect the new changes, and they do have them in stock in a warehouse close to their establishment but it'll still take up to 2 weeks to get them to your hands. Final price $754 shipped.

$754 is way too much just to make your car look ricer. Im just not feeling the clear look but i promise i will only make fun of you 754 times if you buy them. you could always get the clear ones and then have them tinted or painted to get the black fuga look.

You can make fun of me all you want but there's nothing ricey about this tail lights, as a matter of fact there's no way anybody can make our cars look ricey... well, I'll take that back, there's some geniuses out there. When I talk to this Eddie guy on monday I'll see if they can at least just sell them for $700 even. What color is your M? I also agree with most of the guys and think that they look way better on the black M's.

i like it on the dark silver, not too crazy about it on any other color really. smoked ones look best, otherwise i feel its too big of a taillight to be all chrome in stuff

Im just not a fan of them in clear, its prob because of how big the taillights are like bbs350z said. They just look cheap to me (obviously theyre not) but i just feel like i see that on all the ricer rides around town. Everytime i hear and car blow by sounding like a 1984 lawnmower having sex with a goat i look up and see those damn clear taillights and a shop class spoiler. When you go to google and type in "ricer" under image search, 85% of the cars have clear tails. To be honest though its not about me, there will be plenty of people that really like them im sure. However i do think the smoked ones look really good on our color car, i actually like that better then on the black color.

Lol, not really, I havent ordered anything lately... I actually put off buying the tails to do something more constructive with the money because I didnt want to seem like a tool, ordering tails and not being chipped, if that's what you referring to. The exhaust work it's actually pretty cheap... which I havent done yet because I love how my exhaust sounds I just wisch it was a tad louder... so I'm waiting on Rowland to post a vid...

I sent it through snail mail... car's in the shop getting the 08 M non-sport bumper put on hopefully everything goes according to plan tomorrow; it was supposed to be done today but the weather was bad enough (Texas standard) to shut the schools and most businesses down half the day, lol.
