More R&D and design efforts being put towards a crossover with a truck ride height. On the YouTube page they claim it's marketed towards young car enthusiasts. When will they get it? The "car enthusiasts" on their FB page are eating it up.

Hopefully it comes with a CVT, us Nissan guys just can't get enough of the CVT.

I really hope the next Z only comes with a CVT.

I stopped it at 30 seconds. Why is it a cartoon? Because you try any of those moves with a real vehicle at Jeep ride height and you will flip the damned thing.

You idiots are obsessed with this crossover foolishness; I don't know why, but go ahead. Don't try to pass it off as a sports car, though; now you are just acting dumb.

You hate us. We get that. Guess what, we are starting to hate you too! :tisk:

You can expect those of us who actually like to drive sports CARS and want a new vehicle to be visiting the lineups of your competitors. How lame is your lineup right now? It's so lame that the new Toybaru, the desperate hope that adding the number 86 to something nothing like an AE86 will induce enough nostalgia to sell a car with an NA scooby doo engine, is hands down going to kill you on units sold. It should. Yes, it's weak, but it's not as weak as crap like this. I wish you all the failure, karma's a b****.

They just don't get it.

My Maxima is for sale. It will be replaced by an 05 - 08 Subaru Legacy GT To be flat honest, Nissan hasn't built anything that interests me since the late 90s not counting the GTR's or a few offerings from Infiniti. I don't like V6's, I just don't. I prefer a turbo 4, and CVT's scare the bloody hell out of me, not to mention all their fun sapping abilities.

I would buy an 06 - 08 G35X, but I just can't justify the price premium. The subaru is cheaper, and I like the look a bit more. Not to mention, when the trans or engine needs serious work I won't want to put a bullet in my head. They are simple yet elegant.

Once the Legacy is paid off, (won't take long), I will start looking at pre-owned BRZ's.

Sadly, the brand has lost most of its luster to me. The reliability has fallen off, and the whole design and management teams seem to be drinking from the same tainted toilet water. They have lost their way, and the only way I can think to protest this is to step back. Given the option, I would sell the rally 240SX in a heartbeat to build a newer light RWD rally car. Mazda and Subaru both pay contingency money to those using their models in motorsports, and I believe Ford and Toyota do as well. Its very tempting. Someone give me a BRZ to give the rally treatment.

Why not make a version of the Rogue like this instead of a brand new model?? Call it the Rogue X or something? I don't get Nissan at all with the direction they're going.

Sounds like it's actually a Juke, which makes sense. The "1.6 liter used in the Deltawing" is the Juke's engine.

That v8 Altima video takes away some of the pain and makes me tight in the pants. :fap:

I don't get Nissan's infatuation with crossovers. Of course I still don't get their weird obsession with CVT or that dreadful Murano cabriolet which was another attempt at crossover. I get Nissan's trying recreate a failed niche market, (remember the vehicross?) but they're ignoring a glaring market that younger folks buy in big numbers (FRBRZ/Miata). A high ground clearance sports compact crossover seems contradictory in terms of sporty handling, and it's styling implies very little utility. I don't see them selling many. IMHO Nissan would do far better if they dumped the prototype and spend the money de-uglifying the Juke's nose.

Igor has a LOW center of gravity with the engine beneath the bed.

It actually does. The center of gravity is very carlike. The only thing that the ride height does is make it more prone to crosswinds. It does get tossed around and gusty winds are the only thing that can dissuade me from keeping the hammer down at 80 mph.

I had a spinout on the highway at about 60 and the low center of gravity and huge contact patch turned what should have been a rollover into a stable spin.

If I could change the ring gears out and keep the same top speed I would slam it and throw some low profile 14s on it with a belly pan.

That's how you know it's played out, marketing suits have "discovered" it.

It used to be grip, then it was drift, now it's stance.

We went from get around the corner fast to get around the corner pretty to hard park. You suck car scene.
