Hmmmmmm

I dont like the grill. It looks like a Civic SI, and Caddilac CTS made a bastard child.

Other than that, it could be pretty sweet, as long as they make it RWD.

If its FWD, then it might as well be the new Altima. Seriously Nissan, make it RWD, or else.

Eeeww. Those proportions are terrible. The a**-end looks like it's sort of just stuck on there.

I want to make a comment about a Japanese car with slant eyes/headlights but really, it is just to easy of a thing to point out so I'll just leave this here...

Is it going to have a Nissan engine? If it has a MB engine, then I don't care.

InsideLine fails (as usual).

Opening credits say "SEMA Show". Nissan hasn't been at SEMA for 3 years.

p.s. LOVE IT.

p.p.s. We have our own correspondent RIGHT NOW getting a full insider tour of the Ellure (and other new Nissans, including the Cross Cabriolet). He'll be reporting back soon!

Looks like a mix of stuff from France and Korea, meshed together in the worst way possible. The way the grille eats into the length of the hood makes the nose look like a minivan.

Even without the grille wrapping back, the nose still looks like a minivan. A-pillar starts long before the wheel arch ends. Styling big cars like small cars has become the fad of the decade. It's a terrible fad. Worse than clear tail lights and too much chrome. At least you can replace your tail lights. You can't fix bad proportions.

When your doors are longer than your hood, you're doing something wrong.

The side body lines on this car are absolutely spectacular!

Suicide doors in the rear? The door handles look to be in the front of the rear door.
Full glass roof.. very cool!

I don't like the headlights from the front only, but the lines they give from the side shot are beautiful.

The only thing I actively dislike about the exterior is that same flat fender lip design element I hate in every other car.

All this talk of "minivans" and "proportions" is archaic thinking.

Realistically, the days of easily-categorized designs are long gone. Too many vehicles have blurred the lines between wagon / minivan / sedan / SUV. Hell, even the "new" nomenclatures (sport-cross, crossover, mini-ute) are already outdated.

I like it a lot. However, if it's watered-down for selling, it won't be near as attractive.

I doubt the huge grille will make production. The severe headlights / taillights won't fly. The wheels will be 1" - 2" smaller. And the suicide rear doors will be ditched.

The minivans of today (and always) have tall, stubby noses that are inherently inelegant, packaged that way as a compromise to serve a utilitarian purpose. There's certain design cues that mimic the human face, animals, or other analogues in nature that cause them to be pleasurable to the eye. So while design is open to interpretation, Its not really subjective.

I think there's a reason why I no longer go to Nissan or Infiniti's web sites to price/configure my dream cars anymore (other than 370Z). They lost me at some point and if I could afford it, I'd have a newer Audi.

I think the big grille is the most likely thing to see production since it follows current trends.

It reminds me of the "cab-forward" design of the Dodge Intrepid back in the 90s. From there is looks as if it merged with Ford's "edge" designing. But for some reason I dig it. :) Anyone notice the lack of sideview mirrors? Love technology. Cool! ..... Now, please tell me it's RWD or all bets are off.
