This is awesome. It looks so intimidating I can't wait to see the results.

Very impressive numbers also.

I wonder what the 60-0 stop time is.

Why would they make a GT car look like a dragster? I know the article says it (surprisingly) works, but my brain just won't let me accept the notion of that going around a corner. Even after watching the video, it's still baking my noodle.

DeltaWing's prototype and fitted it with a direct-injection 1.6-litre turbo based upon the petrol engine found in the Juke.

Damnit, you beat me to the thread. I was just about to make this thread. Here's another article from Car and Driver about the Delta Wing: http://blog.caranddriver.com/deltawing- ... t-le-mans/

i feel like there should be an r2 unit sitting beside the driver. also, from the top, it looks a lot like an sr-71 blackbird.

I like it. It seems to defy conventional wisdom for handling with such a narrow front end. I was shocked when they said it weighed 1300 with driver.

What they NEED to do is resurrect Nissan's old a** Wankel tech and get this bad boy running on a rotor.

That'd be awesome.

Mazda's Furai race car has a 3 rotor wankel running on E100 ethanol, makes a lot of power and sounds pretty awesome.

No, it needs 4 rotors. For serious. There is nothing like it. The sound makes tingles in my naughty parts.

The best wankel powered race car ever!
I was bummed it couldn't make it out to JCCS last year.

Running ethanol like the Furai would be a cool thing to do though.

That mazda just seems like it's gliding along the track surface.
