so basically, go cheap and half assed with the collars, or go stupid. to go solid on a DD or even a semi-DD is just plain dumb. unless you're tryin to get your girl off without even touching her. or if you live in a perfectly paved world.....

Actually, solid subframe bushings transmit mostly drivetrain and exhaust noise, road quality doesn't matter. My BRM exhaust is loud when i get to 60mph

I got a review here about an alternative to aluminum zer...asses

I'm fixing my diff next week to get rid of the backlash clunk and whine, will update that thread afterward

It's strange to me that people are always discouraging other people dfrom modifying their cars on this forum... if they have the money, then let them spend it- everyone has different budgets, perspectives, and needs. (sorry, Im a mod on toyota nation- it's the mod in me coming out.)

That being said, I just ordered Energy full replacement subframe bushings from energysuspensionparts.com- they were backordered, but should ship next week. Good prices and customer service. I am planning to replace the rear suspension arm bushings as well- IMO, if you are going to tear everything out, do it right and do it once.

I agree. I went solid and the noise level increased slightly. I get a little more gear whine from the diff but other than that, it is about the same. I still have all the sound deadlining and carpet in mine so that helps a lot.

Not SPL, SPC. A nicomember did a write up on here somewhere. They are adjustable and use stock style (though stiffer) bushings. Thus you get improved handling without too much added discomfort, with the bonus of being able to drive in a class that requires stock style bushings. I emailed enjuku racing and they said they could get the whole set for something like 520+shipping. Thats Tension rods, RUCA, Traction arms and toe arms. Thats as cheap as circuit sports.

I have SPC t/c rods and they're quite good. The rods are beefy and I haven't seen any rust yet after a winter of salt. Ride quality is not bad at all.

I bought SPC rods (front and rear set) for mine. I love them, they are not too harsh, give adjustability, and are beefy as hell. As for my rear subframe I'll prob go with the ES pineapple replacement, it seems like the best bang for the ($65) buck.

I had the same issue with the nip bushings. however I slammed my car in to a curb sideways once practicing power slides on dusty road near dump. smashed the rear quarter panel in till it touched the gas tank.apparently there ain't much structural strength between the quarters and gas tank. i fixed that issue though. not sure if it is the frame or the subframe but one is just slighlty out of wack I would guess the NIP's looked pretty clean. after freezing them they went in with a rubber mallet. I had to bevel the edge that went into subframe as the openings where the bushings go on my subframe were not perferctly circular any more. but they squeezed in nice.

got no complaints about the bushings. however the rubber pieces are obviously squeezed to death and look funny bulging out. feels nice and solid when i give it gas or maneuver quickly.
