I already have the walbro and the 300zx fuel filter, planning on keeping the stock injectors for a while. Is there much improvement if I get the nismo FPR? Can I use just any manually adjustable FPR? Should I wait until I get bigger injectors and up the boost to worry about the FPR?

It is not necessary, it will probley run rich without one due to the higher fuel pressure from your walbro fuel pump. Its probley not a bad idea, some people have problems, some don't. If you have any type of fuel management, its not really a problem. You can just run a fuel pressure gauge first, and if its off, get the nismo fpr. Go with a separate manual fuel pressure gauge and the nismo fpr if you are going to get one...the megan and the others look crappy IMO. Here is my setup.

Cool, thanks for the pic. I think I will end up getting the Nismo FPR, yours looks adjustable, I didn't realize they were. Did you get that extra nipple or whatever I've seen for sale? I have my eye on a fuel pressure gauge, don't remember the name but they're 1", made of metal, and have oil in the gauge.

the extra nipple is for universal fprs, and the oil you speek of is more likely glycerin

I got this one from FRSport, its the cheapest I could find. http://www.frsport.com/Nismo_F....html

They are adjustable via the gold bolt on the right. To set it you will want to warm the car up and remove the vacuum hose hose to the fpr and set it at 43.5psi. When you reconnect the hose it should be around 34-36psi depending.

Here is a good writeup.
