I know lots of people who frequent Gen Chat never go to the Homepage anymore so I thought I'd share this with you. Jim, flohting_point, agreed to a Q&A session with me about his car, himself, and his racing. I really enjoyed doing this article and would like to continue to do more like it. If you guys have any good ideas on who would like to be interviewed, give me some ideas.

Yes, yes it is... Since last year, I've logged something around 35-40 track/autocross days with the car and some of it is really taking it's toll. Last weekend I lost a wheel bearing in a catastrophic failure and my brakes. Luckily I was able to save the car with the e-brake. These were things I was going to replace/rework this winter but unfortunately I'm forced to take Christmas in July. Unfortunately, I'm going to miss a SCCA Level 2 school which is an awesome amount of seat time to be missed =/ Oh well.

Thanks to Becky for writing the article, thanks to everyone who read it and if you all are more curious about the car or it's happenings, I take video of as many events as I can: http://www.youtube.com/user/flohtingpoint

As long as Jim has Nissan in his heart it doesn't matter that he has a corolla, its pretty cool. As long as its not some h0nd@ I don't mind reading about non nissan vehicles on nico. He's also close to me, so maybe I could find him racing somewhere... You can check my coordinates, jim.

There is nothing that says I may not wind up with a B13 SER in the future. I'm talking to someone right now about trading my S13 for it possibly.

Why not an NX? Same class right? Little more unique. Better brakes too.

QFMFT

I'm beginning to wonder if we should start Miata and Subie sub-forums though. A lot of our members seem to be gravitating towards them.

Thanks much. I'm thinking I'll hit Pezi up next. I'd like to do at least one per month, maybe two if people really seem to enjoy it.

Glad you are OK and that you were able to save the car. The repairs suck but such is it for the racing project cars.

Not really hate, I just don't care for them. My parents had them for years, no significant problems out of any of them. Just not my thing.

Years as an ase tech, I'll tell you they are well built vehicles, run well, do most things well. But they are also overrated by too many people. I just hate them because I'm not a fan of exclusive fwd, small displacement buzzy motors, and the fanboys that annoy the crap out of me with vtec talk and things of the sort. And honda didnt revive anything. 'the movement' never died. Besides, I'm free to hate any automotive product for any reason whatsoever. I hate VW. nazi? ugly? not my style? doesn't matter. Since 2004, haven't liked BMW anymore. anything american between 74 and 92 I hate. Why? same reasons millions of american car brand enthusiasts hate them too. Oh and I hate chinese brand cars. Coffins on wheels aren't my thing.

It would be so much cooler if you painted it red, and got badges that said corollarosa.

It's kinda true at least for me. At NICOfest, after about 10-11PM, I was no where to be seen because I was crashing out to get some rest for more track time. This is pretty much my normal "event weekend" behavior.

Ever since our Fernando Alonso discussion I've known Mr. flohtingPoint here was very knowledgeable. One day I'll make it out to a track. You must be an incredible driver to have had the best time aside from a Z06 at Carlisle. Impressive car and driving, sir.
